hi, i have a trx 250r i have just put a ct 310 barrel and a 38mm keihin air striker carby,foam filter i would like to run the air box lid on, main jet 180, pilot 50 , needle dgh & a pro circuit pipe, would this be close , any advise would be great, cheers

If you leave the airbox lid on, there was no point putting the big bore barrel on. It just can not get enough air in. Have a look at CT Racings web site, they give you the tips you need. The foam air cleaner is no good for sand riding according to CT as it can pass sand through itself. They recomend K&N for sand and foam for dirt.

thanks, i have looked at the ct web site b4 but they dont say what jets , i will run the r with out the air box lid & i will put a outerwears lid on instead,i have always used foam filters and love them i have tried k&n b4 but went back to foam. looking through some very old dirtwheels mags they would run a 39mm carby on there 250cc modified engines . i also have a 39 pwk carby which i could use ? dont know how to put photos on here yet i will send them to aussieduner via e-mail any more input would be great.
