For sale is a Yamaha Blaster that is the result of years of racing and development, it has been meticulously maintained. This quad featured in ATV action in late 2006 as shown in photos below. Possibly the fastest junior 200/300cc quad in Australia. Lots of spare parts come with the bike, 2 spare cylinders, 2 spare heads, spare gearbox (pretty much a whole motor) Price: $6990

How reliable is it going to be? No point having something as fast as a 450 if it breaks all the time

I should have mentioned, that article is from late 2006 when it was still in the process of development, since that article we have not had 1 DNF with the bike and it raced successfully in the 07, 08, 09 and 2010 seasons.

How well does it go up against highly modified 4 strokes?

What highly modified 4 strokes are we talking about?
it's quicker in a straight line than raptor 250's/honda 300ex's and with the half decent rider has the ability to run at the front of the 200/300 field.

cost a fortune to build one of these its faster than most 4strokes at a fraction of the price some one will get lucky soon

still for sale, probably cost the average person more than 15G to build this. Many hundreds of hours in development, and IT IS extremely reliable. Its a bargain for any hot prospect young racer. Can offer a tamer tune for anyone with a more novice rider.
