 |
|
On the 9th Of July there is a dirt track & speedway event held at Barleigh Ranch for wich us quad riders are welcome to race at. We can use this date for us all to get in and have a great time racing dirt track, but to also get together and discus forming a quad club, so from here we can find out what other sorts of riding/racing others are interested in and organise more events.
We have bulk numbers of quad riders in our state itching to go racing and have social ride days, so c'mon people raleigh up everyone, and anyone that you know that is interested in quads and lets get this thing happening.
Barleigh Ranch Dirt track and speedway race day 9 july 2006
Where
Barleigh Ranch Race Way.wich is 20 minutes north of the freeways end (i will post detailed instructions on getting there soon)
When
Sunday the 9'th of July ( I will post the time you will need to arive soon)
What will you need to ride this event
You will have to be at least 16 or older
You will need a quad that is fitted with a lanyard and nerf bars
Your quad will need to pass sqruiteneering, so make sure it is of a safe standard
You will need proper riding gear, helmet, boots, gloves etc
If you do not have a MA licenese (Motorcycling Australia License) dont panic, One day race licences will be available on the day (if you are going to ride this event it is very important that you contact myself or Lenny, so we can advise the club of the amount of one day licenses that they will have to have for the day.
[/b]If you are intersted in coming along to this event, please contact me Kev (tzkev) or Lenny (Goodnbad) by PM or phone after hours on 02 49594269. I will keep updating the list of riders that are going to ride this event so every knows that they wont show up only to find no one else there.
There will be an emphasis placed on having fun at this event, so, if like me and you havent raced before, dont worry just get out there and put in some laps and enjoy youself.
Riders keen for some fun so far are
Len
Kev
AAron
LLoyd

Noma
Todd
Kevin

Kev,
If slicks (Veloce,Hoosiers etc) are required on the day this may be a concern as most 1st timers like myself won't be setup with these specific tyres!!
If this is the case maybe we can organise a group/bulk buy with JMC or Hardiman to help us get sorted out.
Any thoughts???
Will. |

Paul,
Are you saying i should forget about the Veloces/Hoosiers?
Is there a supply problem with Turf Tamers or should i get the slicks as i would get more use out of them!
Better to know now then try and get some Turf Tamers which i won't get much use out of.
Cheers for the advice in advance.

hey Will, if you can get turf tamers they're the go! soft rubber for oil and clay tracks and veloice for bitumen. I've raced at barley ranch before with turf tamers and there wasn't any problem so i can't see why there would be one now.
Cheers
