Hey
This event gets better and better every year. Well done to chad for holding out wes for the win. It was close one bu chad kept it clean even with a flat today and 2 crashes.
Me well i had a good day today near 2nd fastest home with wes, matt stone i belive got 5min compasionate time for stopping for an injured rider.
I front flatted yesturday on the way up at the 80km mark,140km with a front flat spot is not fast in the whoops but okay for the rest.
Well done to chad, wes and stone as they rode real hard,
The track was the easiest i have ever done on day one. It was moist and fastbut today changed heaps with more whoops and real heavy sand, also quiet fine dust with bone rattling hard dirt for the last 70km.
Were at presentation at the moment drinking way to much having a ball. If your not hear your missing out on the best time. _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |

big cheers to Just doin It (hook) for all the pre race info and helping me out out there! Would have been really hard going without his help _________________ Finke virgin for 2011.....

| Roycroft the time I set on the way back was my actually time, they took the 5 mins from the first day. So the 2:36 was my actual return time. |

I got the 5 mins compensation time one the first day not the second, so the 2 hrs 36mins was the correct time. The second day was way easier, well at least for me anyway as I was running a fairly old motor so the lack of that loamy soil was quite helpful.
Next year I reckon I can knock that time down another few minutes to, as I had a pretty big accident at about 90kms, as did Clint and Chad. |

bike was fine, besides the steering stem, we straightend that for prologue and then put a new one in for the race. bent the centre of the rear wheel broke the plastics, bunged my knee up pretty bad but nothing pain killers didn't fix.
there was another crash in prologue and some other good ones on camera floating around too. _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |

Only a true professional would practise his crashing before an event. I prefer to leave mine for the day. That looked pretty nasty Mick. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |
