I will be there again this year. It has got into my blood big time!
Giving the Interceptor a suspension freshen up but apart from that the same set up as last year.
This is the single best off road course in Australia. IMHO.
Fresh bush tracks, ever changing terrain, huge hours in the saddle every day, and NO WHOOPS!

Just put most the finishing touches to mine last night
Just waiting on a rear rack so I can carry fuel/tools/ tyre repair gear etc
A couple of rear indicators and Im ready to go
Looks like Ill be taking my car trailer now so if anyone going needs to get their quad from Perth to Geraldton and then back from Kalgoorlie to Perth
Then let me know

| Final build this weekend new quad ready to go just need to pack all the gear to go racing for a week , The best ride any quad rider can ever do . I have seen some photo's that have been posted on facebook and it looks like it is going to awesome can't wait. |

Thats me!!
Normally race a little red landrover and will get back into that side later
I really want to help build the quad numbers. The adventure ride is only half the real thing and no pressure on race times etc
But it will be more than a challenge for an "ex" auto guy as there have been few competitors in Safaris history where people go from car to bike/quad. They normally go bike to car and make some of the best drivers due to the ability to navigate terrain on their own and uncanny ability to make sure they dont hit things!!!!
The ADV ride is still 3000km plus

| The 690 KTM rallye is ready to race , A Dyno to finish off the preperations and to pack the final bits and peices . Then a couple of rides with the boys from CPW team Ben Matt Army and Cyril three time Dakar winner and Ben three time Safari winner |

Just checked out the fuel/distance matrix:
Day 1 = 628km
Day 2 = 400km
Day 3 = 648km
Day 4 = 762km
Day 5 = 501km
Day 6 = 682km
Day 7 = 692km
Total = 4,313km ........... Awesome.

After the first Leg today Mags led Adrian Hermsmen and Cowchaser by 15min with Colin Lawson a further 10min down.
At the end of the second stage we have only 3 finishers on the time sheet.
Colin leads Hermsmen by 15min and Mags by about an hour.
These results may change as more is updated. |
