I am reluctantly selling my can am ds 450 x mx 2009 model EFI
$8,500 ono, no stock parts
the bike has not done any racing, i just go to singleton mx track and mx central track every now n then on there ride days, and cross country riding near my house
This bike would be perfect for someone who wanted to start
racing or a weekend track bike as this is a fast bike and would be competitive straight away and
it's ready to go, nothing else to do, unless u wanted to do work to
the motor but i have found the torque and power to be just right and
pass other bikes that are ment to have 50+hp down straights n up hillsno probs.
the bike is in great condition, and it has a great motor that runs really well and has plenty of power, i have
always looked after this bike as it is my pride n joy, i have serviced
this bike with only motorex products, oil, coolant, lube, and filter oil.
The motor itself is stock and has never been open, however it has a lot
more power over stck due to a full trinity stage 5 exhaust system, a
power comander 3 fuel controller, a bigger Bosch green injector and a K&N
air filter, these parts were all fitted at the same time by explosive racing and so the bike
could be dyno tuned by a power commander dyno to get the most power
i could without opening up the motor. i have the paperwork from dyno tune also.
The plastics on the bike are a bit scratched up as i do 50% riding cross
country and u just cant help the scratches in that terrain and being
black doesn't help either, but in saying that they definitely are not trashed or anything major.
I just put brand new axle, a-arms,shox front n back and a new seat on
the bike 2 months ago and they would not have done more then 2-3 hours.
the shocks are Pro level Motowoz from USA, (the fronts were
designed with Walsh for the a-arms so they are engineered to work perfectly together ), ive had fox float evol's on the bike before and they just didnt seem to be suited for the can am set up, changing from the floats to the motowoz /walsh setup was the best thing for improverment in handerling ive done, not knocking fox they just arnt as good as motowoz on the can am in my experiance.
The fronts are
triple rate piggy back with all 3 springs can be adjusted separately when
they cross over whilst still on the shock, awesome design, the shox
have rebound and compression adjustment, they don't have hi or low speed due to
there “velocity sensitive valving,” or VSV system and it works by The
valves opening instantly for fast, big hits, but remain virtually closed
on small or slow impacts and the clickers actually work and u feel a
noticeable change when u adjust them unlike most shocks. The shafts
are 5/8 of an inch thick and Motowoz have a triple seal on there
shafts, they also use hydraulic top out spring technology "HTS" to slow
the piston down almost stopping it when approaching full extension so
the handling is less disrupted when topping out. The rear shox are
same but duel rate setup and has a remote res
The bike has heaps aftermarket parts i will list as follows......
