Dates Announced for Australasian Safari 2012
On the strength and quality of the field, and sponsor and community support for this year’s Australasian Safari, organisers have announced dates for the 2012 event.
Event owner Justin Hunt, of Justin Hunt Management announced the dates 21 to 29 September 2012 at last night’s event competitor briefing.
“We understand what a huge effort it is to plan ahead to enter an event of this nature and commitments need to be made months in advance,” Justin said.
“We have an incredible field of competitors this year and I wanted to ensure they have every opportunity to plan for next year’s event and mark it in their calendars.
“We will also be introducing a range of new innovations to Safari 2012 including the Safari Challenge.

I will be there competing with you John lookin 4ward 2 the challange after playing cars this year,  Do you now which way we will be going next year Start & Finish & r you doing Condo 750 & Fink 2 bud

Good to hear you are having a ride.
This event is all about the participation. Just getting to the start line is an achievment.
I have no idea where the course runs this year. All I know is that WA is the area.
I am planning on doing Condo again (second time) but will give Finke a miss (11 or 12 times). I may head up to Finke to camp out and even man a fuel stop if time permits. I have trippled up my work load in an attempt to do Dakar so time is short.

Stop thinking about it and just do it.
I did 3 Safari's before I did a Condo.
I am sure all the Safari quad guys, myself included, are happy to help with advise.

| safari. is going further north.and less around kalooglie..some30 60 kms of beach and dunes..maybe some water crossings---hate water!!! muds ok ..and U.R. right just getting to the start will be hard work ..shuold see pual soon with a million ?????? |

Can not get the linc 2 work pardin the punt bud & good news we will be running the Polaris side by sides in Safari !!! Justin said he is just finalizing things what a ride should be a hoot Wonder how they will last when they r pinned 4 a weeks racing lol

Yep based around the murchison and gascoyne regions still in discussions with various towns |

| Hey, just wondering what additional fuel tanks are required to be mounted on a quad for this race. I currently got a 14.4L tank on mine, not quite sure if i would 250km between fuel stops?? biggest i can find on the internet. |

You will need at least 33 litres if not more.
Below is a link to some nerf tanks. A pair of these with your 14 litre tank should be spot on.

Depends on the type of quad you ride i had 45 litres on mine last Safari.
You generaly have to make have your own sub tanks to get you the 300k distance required . Safari tanks now make nurf bar tanks for quads. |
