hi guys.....ive been wanting to build one of these for years....so here it goes....
i put the original swingarm in my jig and used the sheibner geometry for digital laser measurements

then i used a axle from an atomik quad bike
and built the swinarm

epoxy primed

painted in factory satin silver and fitted

back on the floor with rear end fitted

i still need to make the triples

as i have a tecate trike i have new old stock fenders ect (in fact 2 rear guards) i will most likely use the second handy off my tecate for this trike) In regards to the jig,its a global jig motojig. Its one of only 2 in the country,we are the only shop to have both scheibner and global jig machines. Its mostly used for pulling motorbike chassis after a stack, but i build in it also. Its a pretty cool bit of kit for fixing the before unfixable, ive pulled off some blinders with this thing. We manufacture a lot of one off things here at work,i have a carbonfibre autoclave, fadal 4 axis cnc milling machine, lathes, tig welders and full paint shop facilitys so im able to fix or manufacture anything i need....we also do a few of those crf/cr500 engine conversions where we make billet Y section and undercradles from 6061 alloy.....unrelated to trikes or atv's but my brother built this thing, hand made chromolly chassis, all bodywork is moulded (including tank skin) 175 rear wheel horse power super strong engine,he made just about everything for this bike only the engine and wheels are suzuki...its ridden by shawn giles and holds the phillip island period 5 lap record at 1.38.6 which is damn quick for a 30 year old machine!looking at it up close it looks like an old fighter plane with its raw metal finished parts and lock wire on everything....its a cool piece of engineering....hope this gives an insight to the stuff we do

Nice project you've got going there mate Smile I remember seeing a similar little KX three wheeler years ago at the dunes and it looked like a heap of fun.

Ive got pics of Shawns bike and a second bike (no99 Steve Martin) undressed from the Barry Sheene Memorial races at Eastern Creek. These guys built dragsters. The bikes are a work of art and VERY fast.
Well done guys!!

Thanks for the kind words.....it's funny the way it all worked out actually.....we built the very first bike in (gsx1100)2010 for shits and giggles
It won every race at the island classic by 10 seconds....then built a 2011 bike and then another again in 2012 (but also running the 2011 bike at the same time).....2010 after the races I witnessed what a bunch of childish poofs most of the other well known front runners are........my bro,his mate that builds the motor are good guys out there for fun and would help anyone including other teams in the class.......but what's really happening is they are kicking everyones arses and get back stabbed and everyone else is calling it cheque book racing.....but the truth of the matter is we are guys who like building stuff to the best of our ability.....we don't have lots of money,we don't profit from building this sort of things like they do....so it's sour grapes and we came in with no road race bike experience and give them a hiding changing there stature from "oh that guys a guru if he says run this then run it coz he knows" to a motor mower mechanic....we think we throw ideas around we cut things up and weld things together,we fish things out of rubbish bins,we don't throw anything out,we try to turn pig "profanity removed" into strawberry jam.....anyway enough about the road race fudge packers....more about kx100 trikes!!!!!

my trikes have been sitting up on the roof of the spray booth for years!no place to ride them down here without getting your balls busted....its a damn shame.
I been thinking about doing a 2 wheel conversion getting rec reg, them belting the standard rear end back in.....them off to the forest i go.....still may get a fine by hey....at least i would have tried to do the right thing Smile
Thanks for the offer haggles and im sure there are plenty of nice guys in that scene but im really over the road stuff and know plenty of guy that are in the same boat as me.
You try bring cool stuff to the scene and get kicked in the balls,my brother and his mate is continueing with there thins but i decided after the 2012 island classic that i will no longer participate but i do do things to help my brother like paint the bikes, let them use my facilitys/machinery/tools share ideas and make things if they ask me to.....actually i feel quite sorry for them.. as for the cheque book racing comments you would be suprised at what something like those machines cost when you make everything yourself....so id like to ask those guys who the real cheque book racers are?
