|
47industries ATV Adventure Tours
The ATV Adventure Tours program is an initiative of 47industries aimed at giving ATV (quad bike) and SSV (Side by Side Vehicle) owners a professionally run tag along style tour on their own machine, through terrain that would be otherwise inaccessible due to the registration issues we constantly experience. These restrictions are no longer an issue if you tour with 47industries thanks to our relationships with the South Australian Police and Motorcycling Australia.
Our tours include all of the required Transport SA Unregistered Vehicle Permits as well as public and personal liability cover from Motorcycling Australia Riders Division. If you do not hold a Motorcycling Australia license we will provide you with an MA one event license free of charge. We arrange all of these permits and all documentation so you don’t need to worry about it. All required information like your vehicle Vin numbers etc are able to be given to us during your registration process, then we take it from there.
The best available accommodation is provided all inclusively in the tour, as are all cooked buffet breakfasts and on trail lunches. To give you more flexibility at dinner time, rather than limiting your options we have negotiated ala carte evening meals which you will purchase individually, so you can have anything from a salad plate to Reef and Beef, it’s up to you.
Support vehicles are all provided including recovery options should your machine have any irreparable mechanical issues on the trail and we also provide a return to your car recovery facility should you need it. Mid way refuel vehicles are provided as well, which means each night when you fuel your machine up at the service station (yes, with us you can ride straight up to the bowser in town) you also fill up your jerry can which you provide, and we will transport it to the mid way fuel stops for you so when you stop for lunch, you can refuel your machine too.
Every participant in a 47industries ATV Adventure Tour receives a tour t-shirt to take home with you as a memento of your trip, and photos from the trip are usually uploaded to the website before you even get home, so you can share your adventure with friends and family straight away.
SA Ambulance have been an integral part of many 47industries projects, especially the annual Thumb Pump 300 ATV Festival, so to show our appreciation for the work these volunteers do, we always hold a charity auction at the dinner on the last night of each tour, where you will have the opportunity to bid on some fantastic products donated by the industry and our great list of sponsors, and all proceeds go to SA Ambulance.
All riders must have a current full drivers license (or motorcycle license) as a minimum as we will be on public roads, however passengers do not require this. There is no minimum age for passengers; however anyone wanting to bring along a passenger under the age of 16 will require approval by 47industries.
So if you love your quad or SSV but you just don’t get the opportunity to do epic trail rides, if you don’t have time to organize it or if you just struggle finding somewhere to ride, then the 47industries ATV Adventure Tours are just what you have been looking for. If you would like more detail about the tours or if you have any other questions, check out the new web site at atvadventuretours.com.au, then drop me an email at mick@47industries.com or give me a call on 0407 795 295.

No Problem.
First tour was announced yesterday morning, the Border Track tour, on October 26-28.
This tour takes us from Pinnaroo in South Australia, home of the biggest ATV event in Australia the Thumb Pump ATV Festival, down the famous Border Track, through Scorpion Springs Conservation Park, the Ngarkt Conservation Park and Mount Rescue Conservation Park, to the town of Keith.
Pinnaroo is in South Australia, 240km East of Adelaide on the Mallee Highway, just 6km from the Victorian border. If you are coming from Melbourne it’s about 580km.
This 3 day tour covers many of the well known 4x4 tracks in the area, as well as a few lesser known trails, loops back north and finishes up back in Pinnaroo.
Accommodation in Keith is at the Keith Hotel Motel, and in Pinnaroo is at the Pinnaroo Motel. Ala carte evening meals on Friday night are in the Keith Hotel dining room, with Saturday night’s meals in the dining room at the Golden Grain Hotel in Pinnaroo.
As the tour travels predominately through conservation parks, speed limits are limited so please don’t expect it to be a race. For this reason, all skill levels are welcome so don’t be scared of not being able to keep up. If you only do one big ride this year, make sure it’s this one.
Tour cost is $600 per rider, $500 per passenger in SSV or 2 seater ATV.
Tour capped at 30 riders.....8 spots left as of this morning.

Mick always cranks up the best trips. The hardest bit will be deciding what sauce to have on your steak at the pub.

There are about 7 spots left on this tour and we are planning on running another one in about April next year, once fireban season is over.
The April tour may be different, depending on what interesting tracks we discover between now and then.
Drop me an email and I will put you on the list of people to contact when the next tour is announced.

Special K and I just got back from scouting the trails.....WOW. There are some new pictures up in the top banner of the website home page to show you some of the terrain. We had 3 meetings with the rangers, plus the local police and all is going great. One of the locals put us on to a track outside of the national park so we checked it out. Turned out to be better than the planned route so we have mixed things up a bit. If you have never ridden a quad legally on public roads before, you really should consider coming along, it's going to be a hoot.
6 spots left......

The October tour is now full, however we are negotiating with the Motels to see if we can open up a couple more spots. A waiting list for the tour and expressions of interest for the next tour are now starting to fill.

Border track tour is on at the end of this week.
Permits are all done, rego's are in and all is ready for a great long weekend.
The SA Ambulance Charity Auction for Saturday night at the Golden Grain Hotel is looking like being a huge one, with everything on offer from Sea-doo ski tubes and Engel eski's to sets of quad tyres and a huge selection of engine oils. We even have a GPS unit and a $4000 concreting voucher up for grabs, so even if you missed out on getting a spot on the tour, come along at 8:30pm on Saturday night to the Golden Grain Hotel in Pinnaroo for dinner and the Auction.
Keep your eyes on the website (atvadventuretours.com.au) for pics of the ride, and check out 4wd TV for a segment on our ride a little later down the track.

What a great weekend.
Thanks everyone for making this such a successful trip for the riders, for the organisers, for SA Ambulance (we raised $4788 for them at the charity auction) and for ATV riding in general. I will keep you posted as to when the tour will be screened in 4wd TV.
This tour is a very clear sign of things to come......3 day Flinders Ranges tour early next Autumn anyone?

I have to look at my calendar for next year to see what other events I have planned, but I would aim at late April, early May.
