 |
|
hey, havent been on here for a looong time.
still got my 86 200x and its been great fun and has ran great from the time i got it till now.(of coarse it would its a Honda right)
So now ive bought a 86 350x(oh yea) and it's on the way from Cali and i should have it in a few weeks.
I was thinking of getting another set of rear stock rims and putting on set of paddles.
Anyone know what type would work well with a stock 86 350x. How many paddles(7, , size, etc
Can't wait to get out on the dunes and see how the 350 goes compared to the 200.

I know that too many paddles will rob the engine of power as its overkill. _________________

Go with a 7 or 8 paddle..21inch
Like Ben said to many paddles not good ..too big and too many paddles put stress on engine aswell as other parts
Too small a tire and you won't get the full potential out of the paddle
If you can't find anything in Australia and don't mind buying from overseas try rockymountainatv.com theres many to choose from and cheap fast postage
Another thing is if you buy a set of paddles and don't like them they will be easy to resell and you won't lose much ,people are always looking for paddle tires _________________ If in Doubt.. Flat out

paddles....awful!
personally i think they're a a waste of money, can't bead the standard tires or get something close to it. on my old 250r i have kenda knarly's and they bit in nicely, roosted well and with no power lost to the engine.
it's your trike though, just throwing my 2c's in _________________ Yamaha '07 Raptor 700r SE

I'm not really a fan either , I've got a set of geckos for the quad but I havnt used them yet
I'm putting Dunlop kt355 on the 82 250r when it's done ..they work great on any terrain! There the stock tire on most quads these days _________________ If in Doubt.. Flat out

I've seen some nos rears on eBay might be someone from here.
The 200x is still great fun. All original but I think I'll hold on to it a bit longe
I've wanted a 350x for a few years now the opportunity just popped up at the right time. Hopefully I'll be on the dunes soon. Need to get rego thou.

I had a set on my 350X that I just recently sold, I will get them out of the roof of the shed and take some pictures and work out a price and you can let me know if your interested or not.
Out of all of the Honda trikes (what other brand is there) I found the paddles are more suited to the 350X. I found they pulled too much power out of my 200X and did not suit the 250R at all. I find them good on my TPC450 but that is a totally different story. |

hey richie i use rocky mt alot for tyres for my xr650r there great, service n price. Tyres ordered at my door in 6 days thats better then here in oz.
I got 20" dominators on the 200x there good on dirt but on a sand hill clinmb that spin n bog. Maybe thats the 200x. Great for chasing Hares n Foxers on properties i goto on the 200x. I was catching a hare once doing 75 kph then it side step to the right, i had no chance to turn that quick.
The foxers do about the same, good fun.
What about 20" nos off a 250r, theres a pair n a front on ebay US but he will not ship to oz.
cause i found the 22" stock on the 200x was too tall gear(maybe i could of change the sprocket) atleast i can swap between the 200 n 350x wheels to test.
Oldrodder are they on stock (good) wheels. _________________ it comes with 6 months warranty, flog it. |

I can hang onto them if you want them, the rego on the 350X will be dearer as once you go over 250 the price jumps up.
Also a lot of the rego offices did not have the 350X on their systems. |

yep cool. so if the paddle is too much for the power of the 350x i could then pump it up to let the tyre spin more.
Does that sound right _________________ it comes with 6 months warranty, flog it. |
