The Victorian ATV MX Titles will be held at the Newry MX Track (the very same that will host the MX Nationals in October) on the 15-16th of September. Supp Regs will be out soon so keep an eye on www.qrcv.com.au

So for the uneducated (thats me), what is the format of the race? How is the start done, how many laps etc?

2012 YAMAHA VICTORIAN ATV MX STATE TITLES
Yamaha Once again have thrown their generosity and support behind the Quad Riders Club of Victoria for the 2012 Victorian ATV MX State Titles.
The Quad Riders Club of Victoria will be hosting the 2012 Yamaha Victorian Quad MX Championships at the Maffra-Sale Motocross Track, located on Slaughterhouse Road in Newry, on September 15-16.
Maffra-Sale has a long and proud history in hosting big name Quad events, where it hosted the state titles in 2010.
Mitch Van Vliet, who won a Victorian Quad MX Championship in 2009, finished runner-up to Adam Larson at last year’s state titles in Horsham and would like nothing more than to reclaim his Quad crown at Maffra-Sale.
“The goal is always to win,” Mitch said. “I always try to ride as best, and as fast, as I possibly can.”
“Hopefully, this year on board my Yamaha I can be back on the podium,” Mitch added.
This year, along with the state titles, Maffra-Sale will also be hosting the 2012 Australian Yamaha Quad MX Championships on October 13-14, where Mitch is in the top five in the Pro Class.
Quads in Victoria have grown from strength to strength over the last decade, highlighted by the state hosting the final round of the 2012 Australian Yamaha Quad MX Championships.
“Quads are something different. There’s a different atmosphere at the track too. It’s a family-friendly atmosphere,” Mitch added.
“People think we’re just racing farm bikes around but they don’t actually realise how fast and how high you can go on a quad bike,” Mitch added.
Racing at the 2012 Victorian Quad MX Championships starts at 9am at the Maffra-Sale Motocross Track on Slaughterhouse Road in Newry, on September 15.
