So mart, when are you digging up the pics from the ones our fathers had back in the 80's?
Some of you may know that both my father and marts father had this exact setup in the 80's for the under 200cc flat track class...
They creamed that class and also my father used to enter it in the over 250 class and get 3rds I think... Greenhuman won with his 450 monster but this setup could beat most air cooled 250r's on the track...

I've got a vid somewhere... More to the point, where's the VCR lol

I don't know why Honda didn't think of it...

Wow..Those little guys must really rock laughing My MR175 in the 200x frame
is working very well now............alittle more play-time and it to will rock & roll... Ol Deuce

Another little update nothing exciting but i like to keep my posts goin as much as i can.Started on a jig for the swingarm machined to collets that fit the swing arm then welded them to the thick peice of angle than machined two more collets for the other side which i than will make brakets that can be put on and off.To allow for removal of alloy peice once welded togther.Got some ally from work which i have to machine up (gunna take ages on my lathe)couldnt find anf tube with outside diameter and inside diameter of what i wanted so i just got solid.Heres a few snaps once its finished ya's will understand what i mean with my limited explaining skills lol.

Update guys finally got a chance to get the swinger done.Shes all welded up bearings and seals in it (all brand new, all balls kits)everything went in perfect nice tap in fit actually surprised myself lol.I do however have to make a caliper bracket and weld it on at a later date,as im using a yfz 450 caliper on it as ive got a really nice one sitting on the shelf and thought why not ay lol, so that and two little lugs for the chain slider. but as for now i can keep going with the build now.I weighed it and the ally one is 2.8kg's an the steel one went way beyond the kitchen scales limit which was 3.4kgs so im 600grams in front and deffinaltely more when i try different scales laughing
Also photo of the brand new procircuit i scored for $120 it actually pretty much fits aswell at this stage only going to have to redirect the stinger to meet a silencer not a bigge at all.And the seat cover that i got made for it just gotta get a staple gun that will do the job of puttin the cover on the frame will be that orange colour.I still have to clean up the swinger with a flapper disc and some polish etc and shape the lingake mounts but had to show yas lol

Done some more got all the bearings in everything front wheels, steering stem swingarm etc.The swinger fits perfect and is actually straight lol made the linkage part for the shock exact same postioning as the later 84 model swinger same as my 200x.I kinda made another purchase tonight whilst looking around for powervalve parts for my engine i came across a fully complete rebuilt with receipts 04 model engine.comes with carb, elecs, full pipe running strong, so i figured for the price i bought it for i wouldnt be able to rebuild my engine so i bought it lol.Im assuming the mounts are the same but doesnt really matter because i was actually thinking about re positioning mine any way it sits to far forward i think looks abit dicky.well see.So this thing should be running real soon hopefully.oh i also finally got a good staple gun and finished the seat cover came up real good i reckon.Heres a few pics its pretty much just mocked up but just to give an idea i wont be using that tank.ill be using a steel one thatll have to be modified alittle for the radiators but itll look alittle like that.

Few more updates. The 200x's have a sh*t chain tension setup with the swinger moving back and forward, with the way the cr engine has the through swingarm mount it was goin to be in the way and was no way (unless i moved motor way forward) would it would of cleared. So i chopped the rear mount off the cr for clearance and chopped some mounts off some junk 250r cases i had laying around and am going to weld these in position and pick up original 200x mounts at rear.
So much for thinking because its a small engine itll fit easy nah no way lol there has been so much more work in this build than i first thought lol.I couldve re postioned the engine for it to sit above the swinger but then you run into problems with chain height, i really wanted it exactly where the 200x sproket was.Heres a few snaps so ya kinda get what im rambling on about. So the nice new complete 04 engine is now split waiting to have these mounts welded on laughing Also theres a photo of the pull start cover im goin to put on it dad had it on his 90 back in the day.On the back of it is engraved trick trike products pretty neat i reckon.Dad said he wants me to put it on there lol.

Got some more done guys,The motor is now fully mounted including the 250r rear mounts i had to weld in to pick up the original rear mount.Got the top head mounts done.Drilled all the holes for the pull start adaptor only problem with that is i made it for when the engine used to lay more forward now i re-positioned the engine it doesnt sit horizontal but its a pretty easy fix but as of now ill just leave it works perfect to. the carb actually lines up perfect and a intake tube off an 86r will fit just about spot on to a custom ally airbox.
So as of now i can probably fully weld all the mounts.
Im also tossing up what to do with the radiators i really want to have em on the side so it looks 250rish,But last night i was playing around with some ideas and put this radiator up on the tripples and kinda dig the look of it i would spray it black and put my ol mans old race number on it dunno yet.Its alot of work either way i do it. heres a few happy snaps for ya's.

Bit of an update guys,
Got all the pipe exactly where i wanted and mounts etc made.Made a few changes to shape to get the fit i wanted.
Also fabbed up a stainless steel airbox for it using an 86 250r carb snorkel. It is abit on the heavy side for an airbox but its all i had laying around and couldnt be bothered staying back after work to do an alloy one,i have been doing way to big a days to wanna stay and do stuff like that.Any way here she is im trying as hard as i can to have it running for the aus day ride,I dont think itll be all painted and stuff maybe just in test state but should have it goin atleast.
