Pro strip powder coaters at redhead.

Chrome and polishing - Hamilton Chrome. Denison street Hamo. Them guys are good.

To get the right colours you need to buy some from the USA as they don't seem to have them here.
This mob below have the right red and gold.

What sort of prep is needed for powdercoating
How should the parts be? Bare metal? Or just give it to them all messed up and they sort it
Is it cheaper if I do it or no difference Hrm

Just ring the powderoaters and ask mate. It will probably be cheaper and more conveniant to have it all done at the same place. That way they can also do it the way it needs to be done. I had my cylinder blasted (light sand by Imperial Blasting at Beresfield) before going to polish and was then told i shouldnt have got it done as some of the pitting was irreversable.

The powdercoaters at Rutherford charged me around $140 to blast my tank and frame before i took it to Randalls Smash Repairs for paint. The painter reffered me to them. I think you'll find a lot of companies work with each other in this way.

I just rang them and this is what they said..

$110 minimum cost on sand blasting

Blast and Powdercoat is $250 - $300

A quad they recently did was $330 for blast and coat.

I asked about the charge if i was to blast it myself and they said its probably best they do it as it has to be coated within a certain time frame or some crap.

They charged me $160 all up about two years ago and that was candy apple red on YFZ450 frame. All these places put up the price when they see how popular something is.
With the sandblasting, the bare metal starts to rust immediately so you can see their point. They would not want any come backs.
I found the Redhead mob put the price up $30-$40 everytime I took something there.
I was just trying to help.

They are roughly the same price as redhead. I may give them a go with my next build.
