Sweet good to see some more interest.
So what do yas reckon we ride to the normal spot than carve in our track that we usually make?Or are we just gunna ride ??
Im going to give my little laydown a birthday this week (Spraycan rebuild lol)new rear bearings new fork seals new front bearings.bit of paint here and there.Going to try and fab up a jerry can holder for the rear grab bar so i dont have to keep goin back to the car. _________________ 1984 ATC 300R, 1986 TRX 500R,1984 ATC 200X, ATC 70 WITH CUSTOM LAYDOWN 250R ENGINE, 125CC CUSTOM THUMPSTER TRIKE |

Considering we will probably be out there for a few hrs i think we should have a spot to come back to and rest/talk etc. Somewhere with shade so i think the same spot as previous yrs is a good idea. We'll probably get another track happening. This yr we should probably do some big cruises too as a group the length of the RVA as not all trikes will be race trikes.
Good idea mate, pulling the trike apart now... That should almost guarantee it wont be going for our ride.
Ive still got a few trophies left too for some riding events if everyones keen. _________________

I just checked and i still have trophies for...
Fastest Hillclimb
Slowest Hillclimb
Fastest Pusher
Slalom
and
Highest Jump.
If everyone is cool with it i'd like to hold those events this yr. Its just that the trophies were pretty pricey and id like to be able to give them away instead of sitting in a box.
The A.T.C has made Australia Day a big event for us, even before i came on the scene and i'd like to continue that tradition.
This sums it up perfectly...
We made an impact and it was remembered.
I want Australia Day to be synonymous with our trike ride.
Ive always been trike mad but it wasnt until i signed up here that i was informed on the scene etc.
I remember buying an ATV ACTION magazine because it was Australian and pics of quads kinda look like trikes from behind. Serious, thats why i bought it.
Imagine how excited and anxious i was when i saw the feature on the Aussie Trike Crew's ride at Stockton.
It said that the group of trike enthuisiasts was rounded up via networking by Tony Hobson.
Ya wanna know what i thought?... Why has this Mr Hobson character not informed me of this gathering?
Does he not know where The Currency Lass hotel is? If im not there im only either fishing with Alex or drinking with Matt. Why hadnt i heard of it?
I wasnt a member of OZATV, thats why.
Anywho, as youve all probably noticed there has been quite a few trikes for sale on ebay lately and they are all around the newcastle area. These are people that none of us seem really familiar with.. Theres a lot of trikers that arent registered here.
THESE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT NEED TO KNOW ABOUT OUR AUSTRALIA DAY!
We need to get the word out there, get as many people as we can involved and make this more than just a weekend ride.
I love the fact that quad riders ask if they can join in... its like we are a big family. Its something they dont have (at stocko)
Also, since i joined here the amount of help ive had on my builds etc has been overwhelming.
I would like to return the favour and say... I have 2 spare trikes, the 84R (no rear caliper) and the 86R. If someone from here who has helped me previously is in need to borrow a trike for the day, your welcome to ride mine although you will have to register it and any and all damage will have to be paid for etc etc (im going out on a limb here... last time i tried to help out someone here i ended up in court... )
All too often i hear stories about triking at Stockton over the last 40 odd yrs. Everytime the story has the same undertone. It used to be better.
Id like to see everyone put even just a little effort into making this ride special. Even if you dont ride any other day, put effort into this one because......
This is about the last thing us trikers have.....
Aussieduner has left
Trike Central has gone
PC and the majority of the original A.T.C have sold up and left
The big dunes can no longer be ridden... and now...
Oldrodder has had enough (even after putting all the effort into the TPC)
and no matter how many times i mention MX Central and the prospect of riding there i dont reckon it will happen.
So i just thought i'd mention those things and let ya know what January 26th means to me......

Ben said in his post
"Oldrodder has had enough (even after putting all the effort into the TPC)"
After receiving final payment the TPC450 is on it's way to Western Australia, I do not think the buyer is on the forum and I feel it is up to him to announce his purchase.
Dave has offered me a lend of one of his for the afternoon ride so I may come up with him.
After 40 or so years of alternating between trikes and Hot Rods the people that are now destroying Stockton (NPWS) have made my decision easy to put all my efforts into getting my Hot Rod finished for the 2015 Hot Rod Nationals which will actually be held right here in Newcastle |

I dont blame you one bit for your decisions mate. To be honest the Stockton situation is killing the scene. I have never really had any intention of riding anywhere except Stockton in the dunes.
Im unemployed and have no income whatsoever anymore and having invested the small fortune in my collection just to ride in what is known as the RVA is rediculous especially when i cant even afford smokes.
I can see myself following suit too if the situation doesnt change but i'll be there this year and im going to enjoy for what it is while it lasts. _________________

If not i might look into like hanggliding or something silly lol(just jokin)
Benny ill be there sat burning as much two stroke oil as i possibly can lol
If we are up there "WRECKING" the place like they say lets do it in style. _________________ 1984 ATC 300R, 1986 TRX 500R,1984 ATC 200X, ATC 70 WITH CUSTOM LAYDOWN 250R ENGINE, 125CC CUSTOM THUMPSTER TRIKE |

Work has fu<k€D my whole long weekend working ozday and on call there rest with strong possibility of working Monday .. so now no camping, riding, beers or anything good at all
I haven't been in the trike scene long so the hype is still fresh with me. I can remember when the dunes were fully open and you could do whatever you wanted out there but I didn't use the place to its full potential just 4wdriving and camping sucks when I think of it now.
Not having a running trike demotivated me this year..
Some motivators
