Sorry the entries are not out yet guys, but they have been submitted for approval so we are just waiting on that. Costs this year have gone up significantly, so as you can imagine, we have had to put in a hell of a lot of work to keep this years event going. Fortunately though, Can-am have once again come to the party as naming rights sponsor as they have done since the event started so she is on for sure. Something had to give though because of the additional costs and I didn't want to put entries up, so after lengthy discussions with regular competitors we decided it was fairer on everyone if we dropped the prize money. That way it only effects a few rather than everybody.
This year will have a new aspect in the form of a north border track tour on the Monday, rego included. Also the kids will complete their racing earlier in the weekend so presentation will be for everyone on the Sunday night.
Sup regs should be approved and up on thumbpump.com by the end of next week. Thanks for your patience everyone.

Well done Mick and all your supporters in keeping this event alive. Would love to swap you a little of our wet weather up here though. _________________ JUST DOIN IT |

Entries are now online and ready for download at the official event site
www.300.thumbpump.com
Big news for this year:
ATV and SSV half day fully registered tour on Easter Monday
SSV's are back and racing, night and day sessions
SSV sand drags are here for the first time
Entry fees remain the same as last year
Giveaways this year will be limited and there is no more prize money due to venue cost increases, however the event itself will be bigger and better than ever before.
Track will be completely groomed......you big sooks.
Full recovery and sweep team is booked and will be second to none (thanks Barney)
Get your entries in ASAP because the order your entries come in determine your start positions in the event. Also tour numbers are limited so first in best dressed.
Got Whoops?

SA Quad Club can have some there for sale if anyone needs one, if you already have one we can also service your extinguisher. Having an extinguisher is one thing, having one that is in date is another. _________________ Rotax46

Yea, sorry guys I should have mentioned the fire extinguisher thing. Just another point we picked up in someone else's sup regs that we thought we should include for safety sake.

I know I have been going on about the cost increase for the venue this year, but I need to put it into perspective in fairness to Tom, the property owner. The amount of hours he and the other locals put in to prepping for and mopping up after this event is nothing short of extraordinary. Also, Tom has purchased a machine to help groom the track to make the ride experience better for everyone. Tom actually offered me a few different options this year and I went with the most expensive option because I knew if last year was anything to go by, I wouldn't have time to do all of the things that needed to be done, and this option meant that Tom would get it all done. I believe the fee is fair for the service offered, but as to whether our event can justify the cost, well that's up to you. We need to grow the event patronage to be able to sustain it at such a level. This means entries so if you know a quad rider who was on the fence about coming along, give them a gentle push and let's keep this event growing for years to come.
Just a side note too, Tom and Sandy have a baby due in 8 weeks.....thumb pump 300 is in 5 weeks......I think the man is a saint! Saint Tom, the patron saint of Whoops, has a nice ring to it don't you think? I'll have a chat with the Pope about it when we are having coffee next week....

For the update, we all know that with out the help of many people this event just will not happen , that includes you Mick and also Tiff , please also any guys that dont want to race , that want to attend please contact me as there is plenty of work to help with the recovery and also outriding, i am looking for at least a minimum of 6 but will not say no to 8 or more, if they could contact me either on here or by my mobile 0438528300, i really could do with some definate helpers that will attend on the weekend off the event, even if it is for either just 1 or 2 or maybe even 3 days.
Thanks in advance for anyone that can help , as without everyones help this event wont happen,

Tomo is spot on here. I wrongly (but unintentionally) gave the impression earlier that venue hire for the Can-am Thumb Pump 300 ATV Festival went up for no reason. Not the case at all.
As you can see from the pricing packages on the scorpion Park website, I chose this year to go with the most expensive package. This was because Tom and his crew do such a great job and we didn't have time to do it all this year. In fairness, we didn't have time to do some of it last year and Tom stepped up and did it for us then too. Thanks Mate.
There are not too many venues like this one around, especially with the facilities that Scorpion Park has, so make the most of it. Most of us have a regular crew we ride with, so get together and book a weekend at Scorpion Park. Places like Peake and Kingston are booked out every weekend and you cant get in at all unless a club or group pull out, and it wont be long before Scorpion Park is the same. Book a permanent annual weekend now before they are all gone. I know we did.

Entries have now closed for the 2013 Can-am Thumb Pump 300 ATV festival, however there is still a few of you that have said you are coming but we are yet to get your entries.
We have decided to include a 40+ Vets class because of limited numbers in some other classes and those of you who had already entered but are eligible for this class have already been contacted or messages left on your phone.
If any of you are now considering entering because of this new class entries will remain open until the end of the week, however you will need to email Tiff (tiff@47industries.com) straight away with your t-shirt size to ensure to receive one.
See you all at Easter.
