Alrighty guys, this is it! Our first race/practise meet.

Date: Saturday 4th May
Time: 12 midday - 5pm
Place: Tamworth Speedway - Oxley Highway/Gunnedah Road (1km past airport)

What you will need:
$25 for your day license
$25 for track fees
Helmet
Goggles
Gloves
Long pants
Long shirt
Boots that cover your ankles-no lace ups
Back protector/armour

What your trike must have:
Working brakes
Lanyard type tether kill switch
Tyres that aren't paddles
It's also probably a good idea to plug up your handlebars. A broomstick handle works well.

The Track:
It's Big! Approx 450mtrs and 16 mtrs wide. it's 100mtrs longer than Kurri. It's also very wide as they race cars on it so I suggest using the tallest gearing you have, widening your trike and lowering it also if you can.
As this is only a practise day, we won't be doing gate/tape starts or leaving the grid at the same time... But that's fine, this way your always "in front" of someone. It makes us all winners. Lol

Now... I want you to say out loud...
" I'm going to the shed if anyone needs me, gotta get this trike prepped and tuned for race day" HaHaHa

If anything else comes to light or if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Thank you to all involved in getting trike racing reborn. This is a first in Australia in over 25yrs.

Lol. Good attitude Andy... Psych out the competition. Lol

We'd love to have you join us Mitch, we may be able to get 2 classes happening. Up to 250cc and another Over 250cc or 250R's and another with everything?

If I can get some $$$ together I may contact Max about a set of tyres.
I'm already on the hunt for a lowering link and body armour.

Just check that you're allowed helmet mounted cams, some places don't allow it because if you crash on it they say it can compromise the helmet strength if you land on it. Actually even some places don't allow bike/rider cams at all as they say some people show off for the cams and be dangerous.

What I'm getting at is ask first to avoid the disappointment.

Yeh Ben you know how it is son get a bit keen never had the chance to really get one of these old girls moving. Dirts going to be pretty fast I reckon and a whole new ball game. Jye I think if the place is letting the three wheelers run the cam won't be a drama. Plus I've watched a few vids mounted on the quads there all ready so should be sweet as a witches tit !!

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever ridden a trike on dirt. Damn, it will be fast.

Here's a couple links to some things you all may need that are cheap and will arrive in time

ADULT MOTOCROSS BODY ARMOUR mx motox bmx armor elbow spine chest knee pad[Extra Large]

Here's a vid of what to expect. Turf tamers or equivalent seem like a good tyre.

http://youtu.be/OGMuSRn8hmw

Pits are in Red, Start line is in blue. It was hard to do on an iPhone. Haha

Also, for environmental reasons, please take a tarp to place under your trike whilst its in the pits.

tamworth allows knobbies and for your your back you have to have a back protector not roost guard

Not at all. I've been looking at pics of mine and pretending I'm sitting on it pretending I'm going into the first corner. laughing

I was thinking, it's probably a good idea to remove all the lighting on your trikes too guys. Don't forget to plug your bars too.
