Wind your rear spring preload all the way off and poke the forks around 3-4 inches out of the top triple clamp. Also space the right rear wheel a lot further out and leave the inside wheel spacing standard. Rub grease around the rear tyre sidewalls to help stop the wheels climbing all over each other when there is a clash.
*Do not back off in the corners at all or you will drive straight into the wall if you do. The trike wants to straighten up when you let the throttle off. Spinning out stings a whole lot less than slamming a wall *
I also suggest you don't do the exaggerated hanging off the side style of cornering. Its way to hard to get under control again if you get hit. If your setup is right there is no need to hang off all over the place. |

Yeh thanks john good info mate.
I was picturing me doing the whole stab the throttle around the corners but after watching a few you-tube vids I realised not a good idea at all for the same reason.
Looking like its going to be a good turn out.Ive got the whole weekend to build trikes to so stoked with that. Also my boss is giving us next Friday off as we missed the last picnic day so four days to hopefully sort trikes.I wonder if one day I can just get up an pull a trike out without having to build "profanity removed".Gotta get away from hybrids lol

I hooked up my lanyard kill switch this morning. Don't forget to fit one otherwise they won't let you on the track.
It's very easy.
1 wire is an earth which is grounded on the frame.
The second wire is hooked to the wire the connects your CDI and coil. I just melted the outer plastic with a lighter and soldered it on.
Here's the wiring diagrams
It's the yellow and black wire.

I went and watched the quads and solos at Kurri today. John defiantly had some good advice about not backing off in the corner. Doing that is almost guaranteed to put you into the wall.
I'm more excited for this now then ever. _________________

Thanks for the help guys but at this stage I don't think ill be able to make it this weekend I've managed to be able to get eveything but a rear sprocket, seems no-one in Australia has one at all, so I ordered one through rick and might try grab one from the states off eBay :-\ just not keen to run with the old back sprocket without a case saver... |

It'll be fine buddy. I doubt you'll even get into top gear. If you watch the YouTube vid of Tamworth the quads use 3rd and 4th gear. Come on mate, you can do it. I've got a spare 81-84 case saver you can borrow. Rather than getting a smaller rear sprocket , you can just get a larger front sprocket. I'll go have a look for the case saver now. _________________

I just remembered that your already running 14-44 sprockets.
That'll be ok. I've got some other sprockets... Maybe we can drill them out??
I found the case saver. _________________
