Cheapest tether switches are at the boat shops for jet skis etc. I paid $12.50 about 2years ago. Forget the motor bike ones, they charge an extra $40 for the sticker.
I've gotta work so won't be joining in on the fun. Maybe next time, if they let you lot back!!!!

Shame you can't make it Brett because every other time weve had a ride planned your trikes been blown up or had some catastrophic failure. hopefully next time. Very Happy

It looks like everything is going to plan and everyone is still in. I ran into Mitch the other day though and he was a little unsure if he would make it as he didn't have a back protector but he was trying to hunt one down. I'm yet to hear back from Tommy but I'll try and get in contact with him again shortly.

Well what an incredibly successful day! (I'm sure MUZZ_ATC (Jarrod)has a different opinion though Laughing )

The drive up was nice, 270kms, exactly half a tank of fuel and approx 3.5 hrs later we arrived.

I unloaded the trike, got set up, did my licence and rego etc and took a walk around the track. The track was perfect. You couldn't ask for a better track or surface to run a trike on.

The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly too. The guy that was running the track, Paul Slade (Sladey) was a bloody top bloke. What a deadset legend!

With the help of Sladey all our trikes passed through scrutineering and we aced the licence test! Laughing

My trike didn't miss a beat all day and with the information that Greenhuman posted in regards to setting your trike up and how to ride a speedway track that I followed it was fast too and handled incredibly well. So well in fact that I may not change it back. Another trike that was running sweet too was Marts custom ATC 125R. Wow, that thing was fast!

Sladey said were all welcome back for another practice day and that we should get in touch with Motorcycling Australia to get ourselves sorted so we can officially race.

The drive home was a bit ordinary as there was no speedway track at the destination but finding bed was a welcome relief.

The still camera with pics seems to be giving us a little grief but I'll post pics as soon as I get a BFH to fix it.

Until then I'll post vids as they upload to YouTube.

Thanx to everyone who helped make it a sideways success. Very Happy thanx too to all the girlfriends etc who grinned and bared it. laughing

What an awesome day! I've definitely found my new love. The track up there is suited so well to 3 wheelers wide open throttle the whole way absolutely the best fun ive ever had on a trike in my life.
on the last run with the brother I managed to blow up the 125 but was expecting it.Benny I would have to say was the fastest on the day he owned that joint lol.The people that run the track would have to be some of the nicest people you could meet so welcoming.
Ill post some vid as soon as I can manage to upload them from our camera.

Got a chance to pull the barrel off and inspect the damage.Exactlty what I thought it would of done lol. When I put the engine together a few days ago it had a slight crack in the exhaust bridge but due to having no triking funds at the moment (life gets in the way)I couldn't purchase a new barrel and I wasn't going to miss the first speedway meet for anything so i threw her back together and hoped for the best.i cant complain it ran really strong all day and wasn't until our last run it finally let go lol heres the carnage Rolls eyes
