Its time to do the top end on the 82, any suggestions on where to get the head machined and a local supplier for the piston kit?
I live in Newcastle.
Thanks for your help.
Andy. |

Call Garry at Big Bang race engines Barnsley, he's one of very few around that can do the job and not stuff it.

Worth a call and find out how much. |

Thanks for the info HaggLE much appreciated, I would rather pay the money and get it right rather than loose a stock size 30 year old cylinder.
Have lost some of the skirt which im sure is all out of the crank space now but do you recommend splitting and cleaning rather than flushing still boxed up?
If so would Gary be able to press the crank and change the big end at the same time. I dont really want to split just for a clean as the big end seams still within spec.
Thanks,
Andy. |

Gary has a press etc to rebuild the crank but you don't need to pull apart the crank to disassemble the bottom end.
I would however take a look at the gearbox as these motors have a common gearbox issue (jump out of 3rd??).
Just call him and ask him all about a rebuild. |
