On another trike site a member has just zinc plated a tonne of parts and fasteners , this finish looks great..hes overseas not sure the conditions of where he rides but got me thinking is this a good way of preventing corrosion on the trike in our riding environment eg; beach ... how long would it hold up? Would it look scrappy after a while _________________ If in Doubt.. Flat out

You can gets kits in Australia to do the zinc thing at home.
I find if you keep the WD up the parts it lasts well. Wash the trike after every ride and spray WD or the equivalent all over.
If the parts you zinc plate are in bad shape with pitting etc the zinc finish will look dull. |

Hamo Chrome will do it. I looked into it when I was doing the oem nos 86. They can put a colour in it to. If you look on Caswell plating forum it will answer everything you need to know. _________________
