Sittin round abit bored I thought I'd throw an update up.
Finally managed some time in the shed so I threw the engine back together with a brand new Honda barrel an slug.got rid of the wiseco crank ( don't trust it)replaced with a Honda crank all new bigend bearings gaskets seals etc got it back in the frame. Just gotta do a leak down test on it ( should've done it outta frame lol) I've also got a digital temp sender coming for it so I can keep an eye on it. Had some ppl telling me they think the rads might be a tad small an have got me worrying lol, it didn't get hot a tammworth but that's WOT in clean open air so sand might be a different story just have to wait an see. I didn't wanna put bigger rads on cause these ones fit quite nicely and anything bigger would be a nightmare.
Then it's just put the suspension back to normal and give her a shot on the dunes

Another update I'm all Atc 125r at the moment lol,I got around to giving it a leak down test.
Guys I can't stress enough the importance of doin this to your 2 strokers.I was really doubting that my engine was gunna fail it but thought just to be sure I did and what do ya know yep she failed lol. I made up a tester pumped the crankcases up to 6psi and sprayed soapy water all around it found reed cage gasket was leaking, wasn't hugely surprised there I made the gasket for the outer one as my kit was missing it ( still used proper gasket paper) but for some reason it was leaking in one spot. But the part I was surprised with was the base gasket it was leaking at the rear right in the centre just in front of the reed cage. So off came the cylinder an reed cage an pasted them with the gasket goo in the photo. This stuff is the best gear ever we use it for the rundownline flanges on petrol tankers and pumps etc and works so so well it's for aviation equipment. So I painted both surfaces put it all back together and retested all good now held 6psi for half an hour that's good enough for me lol.
But just wanted to mention how important doin this is. Small leaks like those ones not only would've caused jetting headaches could've lead to a lean out and a destroyed engine. So even just because its all brand new gaskets seals etc don't get complacent.just a heads up.

Thought I'd throw up a photo of the old girl been ridin it heaps lately.havent had to many dramas. I wanted to check if it was runnin to hot with the smaller style radiators so I ordered a digital temp sensor and machined up an inline temp fitting an put it just after the head outlet an off to the beach I went for some testing. Up and down the beach in open air hottest I could get it was about 105 (starting to get abit warm) so I took it for some hot laps on our track an temp rose to 116 and the cap started to open so she was getting hot.
So back to the drawing board on the radiators I went back to my other thought of mounting it on the triples like the early tecates. So off for some more testing, hottest I could get it now as hard as I could push it in the rear dunes was 85 normal cruising round the beach it runs around 60 ( bit cold ) so I might look into getting a thermostat for it we'll see
Sorry for the rant just thought I'd post an update as I've been having a ball on it lately. An kinda just wanna get us talkin on here again it's like a ghost town lately lol

Nah never mate I've only ever been hassled once and it was by angry fisherman that mistook me for another quader I was screaming down the beach (pitch black about 10 o'clock one night) and f@ck knows where h came from but he swung he's bloody big beach rod at me an thank f@ck I ducked because I reckon I'd still be unconscious I can still hear the noise the whoosh hahaaha so I turned around and any way words were exchanged but that's about the only drama I've had seen cops over there once and he ended up having a ride on my brothers raptor lol lol.
