Hi All

Its been many years, since i have been for a run, and want to blow the cob webs out and take the old 84 250r for a run.

In saying that i have never registered this bike before, what is required to get this. I have a form which i got years ago from the RTA but have never went any further.. What requirements do i need as the form mentions about blinkers, headlights horns brake lights etc. I dont have any of these can i still get rego. Any info would be apreciated.

Thanks
kyle

Go to RTA, get new form and declaration , tick boxes for lights horn mirrors etc. Take a receipt for trike purchase for proof of ownership. Make sure you mark the section saying it's a 2 or 3 wheeled cycle 100-300mls.

hi guys thanks for reply and tips,

I have a couple of issues, i cant find my receipt from 2008 when i purchased the thing.

I also misplaced my plate when i resprayed the frame many years ago. that gives me the month and year of the trike. Is there anyway i can get the info from a frame number and motor.

Cheers

Kyle

Write your own receipt, tell them it's an 84 model and you'll need the frame number or engine number.

Hi guys

Not sure if anyone has posted this before, but i just found a site that can identify your VIN frame type by entering the number in at this site

http://atcvin.webs.com/

so mine returns 84 Honda ATC

does anyone know of a site that checks Engine numbers?

Foreverthreewheels: i just found somepaper work i got from the RTA years ago, when i told them i could not find a receipt they gave me a Statutory Declaration form to fill out, which had to be signed by a JP. I didnt know of any at the time but do so now, will this be enough.

Thanks

all you need is engine and vin. If you are unable to ascertain the VIN you can get one from the RTA. cost about $76 a year. Its basically a random number they give you and put on record.
