Hi all, went for a run on the weekend, pulled up to have a rest, when i started it again the clutch was slipping really bad, that bad i had to get off and push it along a bit to help it start moving, only when it started getting hot it started to kick in again.. Can someone tell if i need to change the clutch around or change the oil.. If oil what do you recommend and how much is needed, if clutch what do you recommend i should purchase, is it plates and springs or more. Or could it be something else

any info would be great

Thanks
kyle

can anyone help?

Im trying to loosen the bolts that hold the pressure plate in place, but everytime i turn it, this spins. Its not allowing me to loosen these bolts, how do i lock this in place to stop it from turning.

Thanks

Kyle

Hi guys tried the higher gear, and presto it worked fine?

Measured the plates, disc and springs with verniers and all came up above recommend change. So gave them all a light sand with 1200grit and re installed, topped up with a new 10/40w oil recommend from a local bike shop. re adjust clutch position and good as gold.

however, for some reason i now have a different issue, when i turn on my fuel on it seems to just run straight through and comes out of the overflow tube from the bulb on the carby.

What is causing this to happen?

and thanks for the help so far guys

cheers
kyle

check the float in the carb. sounds like it might be stuck. That would cause it to flow out the overflows on the carby. Did you like the bike up or anything like that? would explain it
