Why are the quads only a support class at the N.S.W. senior dirt track titles? Motorcycling Australia has recognised quads as a state championship dirt track class since 1998. It now also recognises TWO championship classes in the 2007 G.C.R.s (page 189 rule# 22.4.3.) and they are as follows:-

OPEN CLASS :- (Q1) Upto 550cc 2 stroke / upto 700cc 4 stroke

PREMIER CLASS (Q2) Upto 300cc 2 stroke single cylinder/ upto 450cc 4 stroke single cylinder.

You guys have got to start lobbying these N.S.W. clubs and producing the quad entry numbers, otherwise you will not get the N.S.W. State Championship Titles that you deserve.

You have to start at the top, so ALL of you N.S.W. quad guys have to band together and lobby M.N.S.W.
Work out a roster between you were say ten or fifteen or even more of your guys phone and e-mail Rob Madden (M.N.S.W.) three or four times a week and stagger your calls so he recieves them at a rate of say six or eight a day !
State clearly who you are and the difficulties N.S.W. quad riders are facing, espeacially when those Queerlanders (Oops Queenslanders) have had state titles for the past eight years and the N.S.W. guys have to travel to Qld to Kick ass. Would'nt it be sweet if N.S.W. had a quad state title so they could also kick ass on home soil and be able to showcase the depth of quality and ability that M.N.S.W has within its Quad racing community!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. as far as juniors go in N.S.W. at this stage I think you'll need a letter from god ! ............anyway Todd don't you think that you are a bit big to be racing in the junior class ???????????????????

if you approach barleigh ranch & ask for track to be licensed for junior quads no problem. then you can run state titles in mx& speedway at same venue.

it will be interesting to see how many quads have nominated for the senior national dirt track event on 15th sept in mildura too. last i heard was there wasn't even enough nominated or entered to make 2 heats

The info came from the SUPP REGS on the Ma Web site and the email I recieved today, possibly worth a phone call , and after last month at Tamworth the support from the club, Hardiman and every quad that turned up is defenatly a step in right direction, I shore as hell still have a grin on my face, you are right we need numbers in NSW QBPTA and other clubs alike. Like anything we need numbers at these events and in our clubs to prove our existance in NSW.

Goodnbad we should lobby all and in the order you said

1) Need Riders/Members at events

2) More Promoters/Sponser to help hold the event.

=

3) MA NSW To Aprove Stand alone Events.


Maybe we have started somthing we shouldnt ignore. We have had in the past persoal invertations to hold a championship from the Events and Sports Development Officer from the MA Office. But couldnt even get the numbers for a club event...

Things seem to be getting better though...and alot of first timers at Tamworth said they would definatly give it another go....

Thanks DR ,Ok ALL of us , lets get on to Rob Madden,regarding this very event,I will send and email this week asking how ,why what where and when do we get a gernsey in NSW and a follow up phone call the day after ,who is next week and the week after ...? Then rotate ...
I did approched Barleigh ranch a month back and they are concerned about us removing excessive material from the Oval track ,I asked Kieth if we could put non-Knobbies and do a demo ...to see how they go,he said he would consider doing something after all major two wheeled races are finished...However Race Numbers and revenue to the club can certainly help

This is where this discussion will end every body talks about it but no action is ever tacken, look at the stockton issue the invertation was there for a commity to aprouch NSWPWS to talk about an action on usage and what our needs were but no one has put there hand up to have ago...

You have forgotten to mention what day/date that you will be lobbying M.N.S.W. with your e-mails and phone calls and what the contents of those communications will be. If you can ALL work on a action roster / timetable then you will make this happen but if you do nothing then that is what you will ALL get. So come on guys, show us what you got because you CAN make this happen.
