WOW .. that is lovely!!
I have a soft spot for 3-wheelers ... They are fantastic!! You dont see them here in South Africa ... alas!!
Are they popular in Auz? What do they go for? How hard are they to find?
Congratulations Jamie!!!! _________________ Mikey got 3rd in the Nationals!!

ash,i've got it going perfectly i tuned it today at the beach the plug is running a tad rich but its not bogging down it sounds good, its running a 155 main with a k&n filter with no lid i think thats alright jetting???,got a new fuel tap for it from waratah bike wreckers this morning (i could only get a on/off fuel tap so im back to the car topping it up each few hours),i gave it a oil change last night, drained the tank got some fresh fuel for it,i got the fuel mixture just about right, and stuck a new plug in it,i done about a good hour of just learning on it and clearing any bugs it had then decided to hit pages once i had it almost right,i made it in 3rd wheel spinning, fish tailing all the way up it cause of the rear tyres being 8" rims with low profile tyres but they do the job,im just learning on how to wheel stand i got it up a few good times never came close to crashing it,im staying away from all 4wd ruts, keeping my eye out in front for any bumps and stuff so i dont flip it i kinda figured out cornering and the leaning with the bike part,i rekon a good ride with some of the triker boys i'l get a bit more used to it,the trike is in good hands i'l take good care of it like i did to the blaster
1 question for anyone with a 250r,are they suppose to be heaps peaky with the power band this trike is,the gears are heaps close together and it just rev's out in 3rd and 4th heaps quickly but in 5th and 6th it rips,it lifts in top gear, with 3rd and 4th gear is that because of the 8" rims with low profile tyres???
...thanks
and ozzy84 yes i sold the blaster, the dude that bought it came and picked it up on thursday then i got the trike friday.

| Yes, they are peaky. When they first came out, I was really dissapointed with the lack of low end grunt. The air coolers were heaps faster out of the gate and corners but the water coolers had much better suspension and brakes, so it was a trade-off. |

As the previous owner of some rear wheels and tires that looked remarkabley like yours, i can gaurentee that the 3rd/4th quick revout is definitley the wheels spinning, with traction kicking in about 5th. Forget 1st and 2nd! Surprised they got you up Pages. Good work! _________________

yeah they got me up pages about 3 times already in 3rd gear,i got stuck once and almost a 2nd time cause of a (really nice person) on a 660 kept on roosting at the top of it,im getting a set of kenda klaws for it for the 8" rims hopefully a set of higher profile that way i know i can make pages every time...i was running 2psi in those worn down tyres on it now and that seemed to slide alright and climb a few little hills alright.......
and thanks heaps to oldrodder for giving me a manual of it on a disk for me and dropping it off....
thanks.... |
