I was considering talking to Barry Ashenhurst(editor ATV Action) re having a dedicated trike section in each issue of Oz ATV Action mag ? this would include trike reviews(specs history etc),ride storys, maintainence and restoration. This type of feature would need input from all you guys to achieve good reading material, any thoughts and who is keen to help ?

Ive had some discussion with Barry and it looks like we may have the green light for our own feature in every issue,i will def need help to have this work,he's some of Barry's ideas,

Features should contain material of interest to
trike owners, naturally, whether it be historical, how-to, trike fixes
and mods, or interviews with owners.

Ok next question what do we call it,needs to be something cool ?

3 Wheelin Feelin ?
Trike Central ?
3 Wheeler Talk ?

Lets hear some suggestions this is a group effort fella's,i will have some guide lines soon re deadlines, pages allocated and amount of words so we can get started !

What about a bit about how to actually ride a trike??? As stupid as that may sound, some people (myself included) have never ridden a trike, might be interesting, or might save some first time trikers from injury. I know if I ever got on a trike, injury is certain. Razz

That would be a great idea as they are extremely different in the way you need to move compared to both two and four wheelers.

ATC "AUSSIE TRIKE CREW"

This would be a perfect name for the column.
And we could take it one step further and start a club like the 4wds have and then we might be able to get involved in things like exhibitions at the show, the Mattara presesion and events like that.

3 wheelin feelin has got a nice ring to it,

also (ATC) Aussie Trike Crew

a trike set up article would be good too. Things like tyre pressures for different surfaces, suspension, fuel ratios, basic mods etc....

In 1983 the Hunter Valley Trike Club rode in the Mattara Proccesion with around 16 trikes. Thats all they would let in. Some of us parked up at King Edward Park and rode down to Watt St for the start. It was a buzz getting waved on by the police. Riding back from Civic Park was also pretty good.
For three years four club members put on riding displays at the Newcastle Show. We did precision riding and flat track race demos on the trotting track. The crowd at the fence really liked getting sprayed with the tennis court type surface rocks.
We also used to put on static displays at Garden City on Thursday nights with trikes set up and racing videos.
