does anyone have the know how to try and push to get atv regoed in nsw i think it would be awsome eg you riding out the bush and the cops try and bust you conditional rego only covers you at stockton beach not out the bush if you could get atvs regoed they would out sell the 2 wheel bikes
i think we need to get back up like hardiman atv and the dealers to get behind it and start something cheers paul

It's all about liability and insurance. The only bikes you can get rego'd are the road going two wheelers. I really don't think that the nsw labour gov't wants to get off side with the greens. But if you wanted to try start by rallying with your local mp. GOOD LUCK.....

well boys
about ten weeks ago i had a bad stack out the back of kurri in the bush. its been great up until now , the healing process went along nicely bones mended great and now i,m riding again.
well today i had the cops at me front door with some paper work in reguards to a blood test that was done on me at the time i was addmitted . its taken this long for the results to come through stating that my tests were negitive , but that was,nt the problem nope sir re was it.
because i was on crown land and that the crown land was classed as private property and that the vehicle i was riding at the time was not registered i could be looking at a very nasty size fine.
i said to the police man that he should have come visit me in hospital. when he ask why , i told him it would of been less painful if he would of told me while i was in a coma, now that he did,nt take to kindly too.
tipical oozie if ya cant get em while their standin then kick em in the guts while their down

Ifyou could get your quad road regoed how many people would be at home when it started raining .I know with a locker in a car its all sideways motion and a quad is no different. On my quad its hard enough to keep on the track.

Yes pete that is true ,my frames not twisted i just ride full lock all the time .I know you wish you had my riding style but its hard to come by.It took me many years to teach myself, a hint is to nylon tie your thumb throttle full noise and use your clutch.

wel it would all come down to set up naturally you wouldnt ride with knobs but a road tyres we are looking for a push with this as i know that i would ride mine everyday instead of the car plus freinds of mine would do the same and as for saying about riding in the rain that makes it even harder for us to get thing like this over the line. so if there is anyone out there that might be able to help could you drop us a email so we can get things going
cheers paul

a bit of interesting news
Police in sydney had a couple of road regoed trx400's when they were first released, they were engineered and regoed to patrol bondi beach and malls in sydney
and...
I do know of an engineer in Newcastle that was working on a way to rego his quad, he had a custom frame made (standard frames are specified for off road use only by the manufacturer) and when i asked what he was going to do about a diff (locked axles are illegal on the road in a car) he said that a quad naturally lifts one rear tyre when turning so he wont have any problems (he obviously didnt ride hard). I never heard if he finished it off, but as far as i know he is still in business.
