I went up with 3 friends on saturday it was Crap the wind was screaming
from the east we ended going else were to ride just letting u know if its windy id give it a miss

| yea me and 2 mates will be their, ive got a 350 warrior, mates got a white ltz400, and other mate has a banshee. say hi if you see us,just keep in mind ive been told their is a 4x4 club their this weekend, we cant get accomidation, so dunno where we are sleeping.oh well |

Nope, Planning on doing the early morning run up and back.
I hope the weather holds out, I haven't ridden my quads in anger for a while and I'm getting itchy feet.

Hay guys dont want to put a downer on the day but have u checked the weather
Friday Fine. Min 12 Max 25
Saturday Fine. Windy morning. Min 13 Max 30
Sunday Fine. Windy morning. Min 16 Max 34
thats what it said last weekend and i never even got out of the car
and i definatily was not going to try to ride in it i have K&N lid and filter with outerwear on both but all i could think of was the sand going in the intake...............

You were on the money buddy, I went up there today. nearly got the territory bogged trying to drag my trailer in there. (a little air out of the tyres does wonders eh).
Had a quick look out for your quads then went home. felt like I was in an arabian sand storm.
All in all nice drive to Lancilin for a coffee!

yer me and my350yfm went saturday and stayed in lancelin the night, then headed back out about 9AM, the wind was really crap, but still ripped it up for few hours, had heaps of fun! You may have seen us, we had the banshee, warrior and white suzuki just as you came into the main area?
Also a warning, dont ride flat out with a passenger on your bike. Some guy had a big stack and looks like he may have broken his back in the dunes, Hopefully not. but i think abit of common sense probably would have prevented the accident.
Hoping to make another trip in about a month, probably head to york in a fortnight. |

Have just seen the news report and they did indeed mention spinal injuries. Not certain what type of injuries his female passenger ended up with though. Sincerely hope it wasn't one of our forum members and wish them both a speedy recovery. We see it all too often up here on both the sports and ulitlity quads, people of all ages dinking at high speed and usually with no protective gear for the passenger. Don't know what these people are thinking sometimes

| yea its no good watching someone on the sand in heaps of pain. pleazse everyone dont dinkie at high speeds and watch the sand its forever changing and it often plays tricks on your eyes!!! |

| Spotted one of you guys driving up to lanos on the freeway on saturday.I drove past in a Orange WRX.I spotted the 3 quads.Hope it was fun up there.MYself and burnout nut rode from pinjar to alkos and back good ride.Being early and all.finshed by 12 out of the heat and flies |

| yea i remember the car, it was a sweet looking bus!! we were not very lucky with the heat and flies on sunday they were so bad!!! oh well, does any one have an update on the guy that hurt himself yet? hope he is ok.. |
