 |
|
Well the first ever get together for the all new Trike club took place today at Glen's (oldrodder) house.
We were happy with the turn out and discussed a number of things that we would like to achieve as a club.
I would also like to thank Mrs Oldrodder for cooking the BBQ, awesome job.
For those of you who couldn't make it, you haven't missed the boat as we have not made any decisions on anything as yet. Today was just to test the water.
The plan is to try and run the club through this forum and organise a time when we can all be online together for meetings. This will give people who live all across the country a chance to be involved in the club.
* We would like to organise social family ride days once a month, and run events like poker runs and other activities on the day, so all forms of Trikes can participate.
* We want to come up with a name so if anyone has any ideas, please put it forward. The name that we all liked was ATC (Australian Trike Crew or Club).
* Once we come up with a name we would like to have T-shirts and stickers made, so if anyone has any designs they would like to put forward it would be much appreciated.
* We then need to select a committee and register the club, and then see if we can be affiliated with another ATV club.
on November 25, 2007, the first Trike club meeting was attended by (from left to right)
Anthony Flick, Grant Harland (aka HondaGrant), Greg Sawyer, Tony Hobson (aka Aussieduner), Tony Moore (aka Lttony), Glen Austin (aka oldrodder), David Cox and Paul Coxon (aka PaulC). |

Thanks again Glen for having us around today,
I thought that 9 of us (camera man included) was a pretty good turn out and I know theres a few others that are keen but couldn't get there today.
As for a name I think Aussie Trike Club sounds good........ _________________ If a Quad is a Quad Bike,

in the NSW Discussion thread, there are some guys trying to drum up numbers for barley ranch. Aparently you only need 6 quads to get your own Motos. We could get those numbers easy and have our own trike motos. worst case, if they let us, we could race the quads and show em that 20+ year old machines can still kick there ass. They have MX and Flat track. Even though they call them motos, i still think it classed as social riding......yeah right!.....as if we dont get competitive!
Sounds like a good option for a club outing to me. _________________

P.S.
On the club topics front, could we look at CAMS recognition.
If we had cams recognised events, maybe we could get cams log books. If we had cams log books we would be able to legally buy avgas.
If we had avgas we could stop blowing trikes that were never designed to run on the crap they offer us at the bowser these days.
If we stopped blowing up trikes this would help preserve our machines for future generations to enjoy.
And thats what the club is about isnt it?

 |
|
Hi Guy's.
Jono, a local trike rider from Newcastle came up with a great idea that was staring us in the face, He thought it would be good to put a Data base together, of trike riders from all across Australia. These people could be potential members of our new trike club.
The data base would only be used to forward event information and news letters regarding the trike club, and it would be cool to actually see who is where.
So if you are keen PM or e-mail me paulc1@bigpond.net.au your details.
1. Name
2. Date of birth
3. Town you are in
4. E-mail Address
5. Contact Phone number

Well I am happy to run with ATC "Aussie Trike Crew".
The people I have spoken with seem to be OK with it as well.
So if anyone has any other suggestions for a name, speak now or forever hold your piece.
And when your done holding your piece, hold your peace. |

Our Data base is growing, we have 19 trikers that are keen to be involved with our club so far, including 2 from W.A. (overdressed1 & taximan426). Everyone else is from NSW. Come on VIC & QLD.
We have 9 members from this forum and 10 members who don't visit here, Yet!
If your a 3wheeler from this forum and haven't sent your details in, PM them to me so we can start sending out club info.
