this event is currently being arranged to take place at Gillman Speedway, Adelaide on the 9th of February 2008
at this stage we are hoping to have A and B grade mens and a women's class that will attract prize money for podium placegetters in each class, plus a juniors competition with awards for relevant achievement there also
if you are interested in taking part in this event check www.dualroost.com.au regularly as supp regs and entry forms will be posted there as soon as the final details are determined.
alternatively contact myself for info
this will be an open meeting and therefore accessible to national licence holders only for senior competitors
arrangements are being negotiated to allow junior entrants to ride on one event licences and as stated more details will be revealed as they become apparent

I have just been given permission by the promoter to film the event for 47industries. This means the event will most likely be in Thumb Pump 3 (see Kev, speedway will finally end up in one of our movies).

Back in one piece... and with a big bad first place under the arm.
Big thanks to Adam Siemensma for spec'ing me up one very tough Quad Squad TRX450 engine (oh yeah, and the Fuel Customs Air Intake and the suspension and the bla bla bla).

Speedway is one of those disiplines where it all comes down to the finals.
I think there were 7 finals races and they were all action packed.

It was great to see some of the Vic's over and taking a few places too.

I've shaken my head and watched my mate Manshee go round on the outside for a season now and I must have learnt something there, because I managed to use it with style (first time for everything). Everyone raced well but a big thanks to my fellow A grade finalists, Ben, Dan and Mel... top race fellas. First season in and you gentlemen are dam fast.

Mick Andrew-arf-th-alphabet had the good ol 47industries cameras rolling, so I'm sure you'll all get to see some highlights soon.

I don't really have to say thanks to 'CBS Bins' again. They showed faith in quad sport and went the extra mile to invested in it... It payed off, so a big WELL DONE is probably more appropriate.

cheers Very Happy

Yep, as Kev said in his well rehersed speech at presentation, this event would not have even got off the ground if it wasn't for Mark and The Baker Boys (wasn't that a 60's surf band from So Cal?). Nice work fellas.

for those who care

53 competitors (pretty good by backwater standards............that comment was for the mexicans)

almost 300 spectators (pretty good since it was a bit cold and we are mainly truck drivers and tradesmen not marketing analysts)

apparently there will be some coverage by atv action in a future issue and perhaps atvpod.com well i'm guessing thats why they were taking photos
over 1800 photos taken by two other photographers too and a video cameraman who captured all but 1 bracket of juniors (refreshment break for him)
3 crashes, 1 a bit nasty but all riders escaped anything more serious than bumps and bruises i believe

anyone who wants to see what it was like can contact me for a dvd
this is a dvd done by a volunteer not as professionally engineered as the 47 industries efforts. it contains all but one round of junior races so can be a bit of a challenge to watch for those who have no knowledge of the participants , but gives a reasonably good idea of the night in general, and besides you have fast forward and skip on your remote for a reason.
the crashes are pretty speccy and bullet's shear pace is evident throughout, although at least one heat he was challenged at the finish line by dan jarvis. the dvd's are $15.00 plus p&h to your mailbox
