Howdy chaps, I'm after a free program that will convert WMA music files into MP3 files... any ideas

iTunes will do it for you, don't even have to tell it to.
goto www.apple.com and get it from the downloads section (yes there is a windows version available) and once it's installed you can just insert a CD and it will automatically extract the files as mp3 to your HDD and if your online while it's doing it it will name all the tracks with title and artist info.

only draw back with itunes is it dont like ya downloading unregistered music .... from p2p clients
