Hi All,

Its official, the Qld Quad Riders Association has announced the running of the 2006 Quad Cup at the Gold Coast Junion MX club, located at Reedy Creek on the 25th of November. Last years event was a massive success and this year we intend to continue the tradition.

This race will be held on a Saturday and run into the night, "under lights"!
Our club believes that the Reedy Creek track is the best 'quad' track in Australia with multiple double jumps (real ones about 6ft high safe and rollable), stutter sections, 3 x 50-75 ft jumpable table top jumps, and massive berms.
Traction is awesome due to the loamy dirt and is located on the side of a hill. The track is approx 10 min from Burleigh beach with heaps of accommodation, stay for an extra couple of days and make it a holiday!
A full programme of senior and junior events will be staged.

yeah i know smitty, but it was either the 10 of dec or the 25 of november and we thought the 10th was too close to christmas, cant win hey?

It is a titles race, with all the normal classes run, like a,b,c and womens as well as a full junior programme. we are also running the ironman which is a 2 man team event over 20 laps.
I am in the process of adding pics to our website, it should be done within the week, and youll see what the track is like. its a real quad track, smooth and flowing with jumps that will make you think before hitting them, as well as real stutter sections, not bumps in the ground like most tracks.

We hope the guys attending the nats will head north on the 25th, but if you cant make it we understand. Still, it would be good to see you guys up against our riders !

if any southerners need help getting up here or need accom booked let me know.

is camping permitted at Reedy Creek?

i havent looked into camping, and to be honest, the carpark and pits is hardpack and covered in rocks so it might be a bit uncomfortable !
if your coming up, i can find a local caravan park for you, the gold coast is littered with top notch parks. let me know if you want me to look
around for you.

remember if you have a ma licence you are automatically part of the riders group which is sponsored by best western motels. they will give you a discount when you show your race licence.

thanks for the offer, i'll get back to you. Our "group" is self contained in a coach and motorhome so the rocks wont worry us, its just nice to be able to be at the track the day before the event.

if you really want to camp on site and you are self contained i dont see any reason why you cant stay there. ill have an answer soon for you.

that date will be a bit tight with the nats as Smitty said.

At least I have a few mate who live near Reedy Creek so accom will be easy.
