I have been thinking for the last week since my mate bought a Yamaha YZ250WR (road rego’d YZ250 2 stroke MX bike)
Why not register one and put TRI-Z front and rear end on it??
Would still be registered regardless
Just a thought, What are your opinions?? _________________ Doin skids for the kids and doughnuts for the grown-ups

itd be registered but it wouldnt be legal
itd be like gettin a 4cyl corolla and dropping a 351 in it, itd still be registered but....
i think the major things stopping quads and trikes getting registered in aus is the lack of a differential _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

hmm 351 in a corolla sounds fun too
but i was thinking it has the frame#, the engine# and the rego plate, blinkers, head and tail lights
what cop will notice it all sounds legit _________________ Doin skids for the kids and doughnuts for the grown-ups

you can actually legally register a trike in australia for open road use. The trick is you need to start with a VW though so it has a differential, like that irish comedian has. _________________ Proud Member of QuadridersSA

But I bet if I rode a sports quad with a helmet and all that one they would give though. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"

HE is SCOTTISH. and His Name is Billy Connelly...
I have wondered whether a front diff (open but lockable) out of something like a suzi king quad would get around the whole diff problem. |
