Just letting you all know that the Golden Wheel is being held on the 27th and 28th of September.
This event is going to be huge, i know the club is trying to get the prixe money well up over the $60,000, last year they had $40,000 in prize money for the weekend.
This event is being held on the weekend before the junior nationals held at Wannaroo and the start of the National Superccross series

That is great prize money !!! How much for the Quad Race? If I come 16th does I get any cash? Hey prize money only gets the elite few. Since DMCC has been spending a couple of grand at the bike shop 50% of the field gets something we have doubled our numbers full grids and flat out trying to get the racing finish in a day. Last meet I won a air filter cleaning kit . sorry must have got up on the wrong side of the bed.

The Golden Wheel its self is for the 2 wheelers, the golden wheel consists of 3 heat races then come the end of the day the golden is the feature race which is 3 x 5 lap races with a 5min interval between the time the winner crosses the line and the gate drops. |

Golden Wheel is the name of the whole event, which includes about 10 classes in a Motocross event at Kalgoorlie
Senior Quads are in the event.... prize money last year was $1000 for first, ususally paying down to 10th
Pro Open Solos race for the "Gold" this attracts riders from across Australia as they race for Gold Nuggets, I think theyre worth over $5000 each.
There are other "Open Events" throughout the year, which include all the solo Lites and Open classes, plus the Quads.
King of the Cross
BSA Cup
Southern Capes Open
Coastal Cup
The Golden Wheel always carries the highest prize money though _________________ www.waquadmx.com |

| I also believe the club is also trying to increase the prize money pool dramatically so i think there could be more than $1000 for the winner of the quads. |
