All the trike 2 stroke motors were counterbalanced even the air cooled as compared to the CR motors that they were designed from were not.

I guess that was to save weight on the CR as it was a race bike, where as the trike was a recreational bike.

That's why if you put a CR motor in a trike you get a lot of extra vibration that you didn't get from the ATC motors.

cool, i thought it was only the 250r quads that were c/b

apparently there are some weird factors that make a non-c/b engine vibrate more in a trike than a bike, and even more in a quad than a trike (that make sense lol?)

eg a cr500 bike is not too bad (although it can numb your ass if on a long slow ride) but put it in a quad or buggy and its unbearable and breaks welds etc..(not that ive tried it)

apparently this particular scenario is due to the bikes ability to better absorb the vibrations through its triple clamps and long front forks, compared to the extra frame work bracing and a-arms of a quad

also has something to do with a quad having double the contact area with the ground compared to the bike, but dont ask me how or why!

this would explain why it vibrates more in the trike than the bike...

No one would do my frame because the acid they use lays in the frame and rusts it out, thats what they told me.
