This is a bit of a stupid question to ask on a quad website but anyway. I have a bit of a deal going at the moment with my parents and if i get good grades at the end of the year ( my 3rd term report was good) they will help me get either a quad or a ute to do up for when i get my licence. (16 months until i can get my L's) The ute would be one of the old 6 cylinder holden one tonners. The quad would be a decent brand one that was a good price. Still don't know what i would do though. What do all you all think??? Confused Confused

go the ute, that way when you have a set of wheels, you can get a part time job, earn some cash and buy the quad you want.

And good on the your parents, what great set you have. You cant be that bad either. go for it

To have a quad & a ute is every man's dream. Whichever way you go you'll be halfway there.

Go the quad then you'll have another 12 months to keep up the good grades and maybe they might go for the ute after another 12 months of good grades

one of the old 6 cylinder 1 tonners would use more fuel then he could pay for with a part time job

go the ute as per yogies comments thats the smart way to go about it .. but you have sutch a long time untill your able to get on the road . make sure you get te ute just as you get your "L" plates other wise it will just stit there and turn into a pile of grud from not getting driven.

I would go the quad

as other utes , later model ones will be cheaper and more available in 12 months time, and you will save more money by then and also you wont be worried about ya quad breaking down ,, and also you could be a state champ by then and wont have to worry about buying a cheap ute

Live for the moment

Cheers for whatever you choose to do and stay safe

go the quad kid...its simple really...do what u need 2 do with your grades where your folks want them 2 b , u get the quad then once your parents get sick of u bugging them 2 use there car all the time they will have no choice but 2 help u get a car so u can get work as already pointed out...pestering parents is a powerful way 2 get things u need

Doubt it. I thing from good grades will be enough. I'm not pushing in that far. I still have the chinese 250 to get me around to my mates' places too but also my dad says if i don't get a my own ute I can have his '86 dual cab hilux. I have a couple of little jobs now anyway for some money even though i'm not old enough for a proper job. But dont tell any one. Laughing Laughing
