Come on guys - Entires have been held open for another week.
Lets all support the sport to see it grow.
Get entries in so we can have some great racing
Looking forward to seeing everyone there from all over Australia and catching up with some great quad friends we only get to see once or twice a year.
Cheers

I sent our entries a few weeks ago and I don't think they are in the counters hands yet.
So I imagine there could be quite a few more 'already in the post'.
If you are sending entries this week... I would suggest phoning through at the time to tell Tassi to expect you.
Surely late entries will be accepted if you speak to them before Friday. _________________ Can-Am X Team

i think there is now 6 or 7 from tassie, 3 of those are from Smithton, so racing on home track, lucky for them i spose.
i think most of the tassie guys thought that it would be completely out of their league so never entered.
bit dissappointing when the event is held here in tassie,
also a few of our clubs are non-ma here so it means that they would have to get a ma licence for 1 weekend. _________________ nellybean |

Pretty sure its a Vic State thing that pro's cant race vets.
Doesnt say anywhere in the GCR's that they cant, or in the nats sup regs. _________________ www.waquadmx.com |

I think that's pretty right.
It's just a Vic thing, so otherwise unless it says in the event sup regs....
we're racing Ant Yewers (the National Pro Champ) in Vets

Only 5 entries have been received by Tassie for the women's class, 2 from WA, 2 from SA and another. There should be another SA girl tomorrow. As far as I know Trish, Janette and Ainsley are all racing, girls check with Tassie that they recieved your entries because as of tonight they only had 5. You should have received a text message to confirm.
Apparently as there aren't 10 riders we are now a support class. _________________ I'll give it a crack!

Does anyone know the race order yet?
It is important to some of us with two or more riders..
Do we know if the 90cc class is definately racing?
Is there only one class of vets or two?
how many in each?
I'm hoping these and many other questions have already been asked of the organisers and someone already has the answers, I realise they are busy and probably sick of answering the phone, so if anyone knows?? please respond _________________ www.waquadmx.com |

You think it would be easier for someone from Tassi to answer all these questions for everyone on here.
As others have, I too am entered in multiple classes.
If they are back to back in the race order, I'll be dropping a class.
Will they still run a Production class if 2 or more riders pull out because of race order? _________________ Can-Am X Team

Hey Bullet
They should organise the classes accordingly to who has entered.
If on the day you have 2 classes after one another approach the Clerk of Course and ask if he/she can talk to the steward and change the format.
They should oblige rather than lose riders.
Hopefully they have already done this to suit the entries.
Only 12 more sleeps !!!!!!
cheers

no race order yet confirmed. as there are low numbers in some classes MA are deciding which classes to combine and which to run as support or championship classes.
Vets will be combined into 1 class
only 4 riding in production class at this stage.
when MA notify the CHMC with race order and race numbers you will be advised by phone or txt.
we still have limited info as it is in MA hands and we too are waiting for info to get programs done up.
will try to keep you updated with new info as i get it.

Not impressed. We are now travelling from WA to TASMANIA to complete in a "support class". It looks like in the future it would wise to get entries in WELL IN ADVANCE (+/- 5 months). This would then confirm which classes would be support classes and which would be championship classes. If I wanted to ride in a support class, I would do it at home, not 4000+ks'and many $$$$. If I had not paid my non-refundable airfaires, accommodations, etc, I would withdraw my two riders.
Careful consideration needs to be implemented in future for events that call for flights, shipping etc.

it would make a big difference if everybody got their entries in by the date advised. entries are still being received. there were only 42 entries recieved by the original cut off date but the club has tried to keep everbody happy by receiving late entries. i know of some riders that have planned to come for 8 months but have only just sent the entries.
yes i agree makes it hard for those who have made an effort.
unfortunalty CHMC doesn't have alot of control to the next step as it is in MA's hands _________________ nellybean |

Hi Janelle
have just spoken to Lance Brenton who is head of the National Quad Advisory Committee, he has spoken to John Tisdale Chairman of the MA MX Commission, John has said only the steward can combine classes or re arrange race order not MA, he was unaware of anything being with MA.
Maybe MA TAS?
I hope this post helps, dont have your number less we would have called or emailed.
the championship classes are as per commission minutes
Pro Men
Pro Women
Vets 35-44yrs
Vets 45 yrs +
Junior 200-300cc
and the 90cc classes
all other classes are support.
all Listed above are only championship classes if they have 10 +riders, if they dont have 10, they can still run, but are only support.
For race order, its just a matter of working from the entries
90cc always go first
Pro's always go last
all the other classes in between, trying not to put races with the same entrants following each other.
Use the Juniors and Ladies to split the Pro/ Intermediate and Clubman.
I would suggest they dont combine any of the classes, to get everyone ample recovery time between races.
possibly
Junior 90cc -110cc standard/modified run together
Vets 35+ (as you statated they will all run together)
Experts(intermediates)
junior 200cc- 300cc
Production
Pro Womens
Clubmen
Pro Championship
I'm sure if that doesnt suit someone they will probably put it here.
I hope this helps, as we arnt trying to butt in, just trying to offer help. _________________ www.waquadmx.com |
