i am entered in both pro and production.
as the proposed race order sits
i will be doing 20min +1 lap and then swap bikes helmet, goggles and then straight on the start line for production.
trust me i would prefer it this order than the other way round but if there is a chance can it be changed back to the 1st format suggested? _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |

with a bit of luck this should be the last time you have to hear from me.
this is the latest information that i have been given regarding this weekend.
Entries have now closed
race order as it stands
1.....expert......6 laps........support
2.....90/110.....4 laps.........unsure at this stage
3.....production class.......5 laps......support
4.....vets 35 and over......4 laps......championship
5.....womens........5 laps......championship
6.....jnr 200/300......5 laps......championship
7.....pro open.......20 laps +1......championship
if there are are issues regarding this order please do not ring Kathy as she now has no control over it. you would need to contact the steward Shane Fraser on 0438 568 092. please keep in mind though it is very hard to suit everybody and the order has been given great thought and consideration.
for those who are interested....the weather,
Friday.....low risk of rain
Saturday....medium risk of rain
Sunday.....low risk of rain.
But this is Tassie so come prepared, we have had a bit of wind lately tho.
hope you all have a top weekend and maybe some of you are lucky enough to be staying for a bit longer to get some excellent riding in while you are here
cheers

Justy a heads up for all those going on the ferry,
Can I take jerry cans with fuel on the ship?
All jerry cans must be empty and dry of residual fuel before they can be carried on Spirit of Tasmania. There are strict regulations. Please call
1800 634 906 for further details.
Can I take gas bottles on board?
Yes. However, gas bottles that are not connected to a motorhome or campervan must be declared at check in. They will be placed on a trolley for the voyage. You will be issued with a receipt, which must be handed in on arrival when collecting the gas bottle. Gas bottles do not need to be emptied.
What can't I take to Tasmania?
Fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh fish products, plants or plant parts and anything carrying soil cannot be taken into Tasmania. For more information see www.dpiw.tas.gov.au or phone the quarantine hotline on 131 368.
here is a link to their faq section

woops yep your right 20 minutes and 1 lap. just checking to see if everybody is on their toes.
yes ferry is dam strict. if they smell fuel in the jerry cans sometimes they make you fill them with water. fill your cans when you get here.
if you are camping i think the same goes for gas bottles that are not fictures on caravans etc. just check before leaving.
sniffer dogs at boat terminal too and they stop all vehicles and check.
also if bike are covered with mud they may make you clean them before they let you leave the ferry depot at devonport. _________________ nellybean |

Just a quick reminder
at this years Nationals presentation dinner there will be a small auction for
a Joe Byrd signed Jersey, Tshirt and Hat
the funds will go towards the Matt Battista Trust. Matt is a multi WA State MX Champ, who changed over to road racing a couple of years ago... 2 time state champ at Road racing, until a fall changed his life.
On the weekend of the Quad Nats, our club is holding a major fund raiser for Matt and his family, which includes an auction, heaps of raffles, MX Event all sorts of things.... because most the Quad coastal Motorcycle club members will be in Tassy, the Quad gear was taken with them to be auctioned in front of Quad People.( see Lance)
Anyone who would like to donate, please feel free !
info on Matt is available

I hate to be a pain, but I'm doing Production and Vets.
I rang Kathy straight away last night and she and race sec are looking at it.
Maybe Womens at Vets will swap...
or I'll just have to miss out if it does not work.
I was happy with the last two advertised race orders but understand that it probably can't suit everyone perfectly, and that might have to be me. _________________ Can-Am X Team
