99 Model , has the following :
Race axle , Tweaked Carby, Nerfs, pro taper bars, DMC exhaust, aftermarket reeds, top end rebuild 20 hrs ago. ??
Its tidy for age .
Anyone know what it would be worth ???
I am looking at trading it for 2007 Raptor SE that i have for sale .

$3500-$4500, more at the lower scale of that though.
There are a lot of bashees for sale with mods. |

not to be rude but being in the retail car trade myself people need to understand that redbook doesnt buy cars or bikes or quads so these figures mean totally nothing. never use redbook as a guide.

I wouldn't rely on redbook. But at least it gives you a ball park figure.
When your buying something. You must look at the new price and work your way down. The newer is it is the faster it devalues - older stuff will start to slow down.
A banshee is $8000 (we'll go with 08 model)
so a used 08 model is not going to be worth $8000 you might pay 6500-6900 - any more and you might as well buy it brand new.
so an 07 model has got to be cheaper - possibly 5600-6000
06 you'd be paying 4900- 5500
05 - 4000-4500
04 - 3900- 4400
03 - 3400-4200
02- 3000-3900
01 2500-3200
00- 2000-2800
99- 1700-2500.
only rough figures - but thats sort of how i look at everything. Sometimes you'll find a great looking early model thats in better condition then a later model - and so the earlier may be worth more.
Then you may look at what mods it has.. rust... rebuilds... condition etc.
Personally i wouldn't pay more then 2800 for a 99' and it would have to have all sorts of great mods and in excellent condition.
Look on the internet and study advertisments. You'll find most people ask a lot more then what people are prepaired to pay. I've seen an 01 for $4000 that was a complete pig.... |
