After the success of the last get together i figured i'd get the ball rolling for the second one,

I am posting this now so there is enough time for long distance participants to organise their trip to join us.

From the bit of feedback i have recieved from the last meet i have come up with a rough idea of events, please let me know what you all think

I'm thinking;

Morning: Meet / tune

Mid Morning: Drag Racing, whos the quickest in a straight line

LUNCH: BBQ or something, get a sausage sizzle organised or BYO Meat?????

After Lunch: Hit the hill climbs to see who is the best climber

Arvo: Go for a ride through the dunes to the parts of stockton that pehaps most visitors dont know exist, quarries, bush tracks, firing range etc.

Again it this isnt a "race" meet, no licence or any of that B.S. just more of a social meet aimed at having a good time.

Hopefully this one will just as good as the last (even though i will probably be on a two wheeler by then).

Cheers, ryan

EDIT: Race will be on SUNDAY 8th April (Easter Sunday)

Racing will be in the Basin (behind the hill climbs near Lavis Ln)

Try be there by 10:30am or so so we can kick it off around 11.

SEE YOU THERE!!

Beach rego is a must, even if you get 3 months..
I think its about $130.
Me and Jim have booked a place from 26 dec to 29 dec,
Is anyone heading to stockton at this time???

sounds promising,

as for rego, last trip i organised a un registered vehicle permit for that weekend only, cost me $21 i think. no plate required and it allows you to ride on the beach legitimatly... with a beach permit aswell

Yellow Sub,

There are a couple of us from Queensland who will be heading down to Stockton from about the 26th Dec. Can't wait, but would like to know the following as we have never been there before.

1. Camping on the beach. What are the spots like and are they difficult to get to?
2. Can you organise the permits before hand and have them posted to you?

At this point in time we are looking at three of us coming down towing three quads on one trailer. From what I have read beach access is not the best and I am thinking it may be difficult to get on and off the beach with a big trailer.

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers
Chris

Jack ass 450

Accses to the beach is a bit hard with a loaded trailer.
If you take 2 quads off you should be ok..
As for beach rego, in sydney we get it from RTA.
If I were you I would get an unregisted vehicle permit
that 700rappy is talking about. I dont know how to get
it.
Try sending 700rappy a pm.

Thanks yellow sub and redted,

thanks for that info. I have looked into the permits and have organised some paperwork to be sent up. Looks like there is a number of us coming down with a few 4WD's which will spread the load around.

I have been told that camping is allowed. What are the spots like ie sheltered or open. Are there any creeks to go swimming in?

Cheers

Hey Jakass,I usually camp around the beach end of Lavis Ln 'area'.(Thats past the Metro servo which has a variety of supplies & pressure washing bays).Plenty of 'scrubby' spots for shelter from the wind.By x-mas/summer, the only FRESH water holes will be the lagoon in the basin(south of the car pk at the end of Lavis Ln) near where the drags were on the L/w/end.Did you check the map in the link in a previos post. http://www.ozatv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=355
