Its been 3 months since I blew 1st gear in my 83R and finally its almost going again,Got my motor back of luke on mondy still stuck in 1st gear, ripped it all apart and done all the bottom end again took me about 6 hours to figure it all out but its going through all 5 gears now,Just got to get The exhaust flange back of LUKE which will probable take forever!,IF ANYONE SEES OR TALKS TO LUKE CAN YOU PLEASE TELL HIM I NEED THAT EXHAUST FLANGE AND THE REST OF MY PARTS BACK!!!

Its almost ready for the weekend
Just got to get the exhaust flange of luke later on (hopefully)
Got the aussieduner shrouds and race plate on it,its looking all good Very Happy

Jamie i have a nice set of new ABS white shrouds you can have, these were the first set of the new plastic material ive just started using, they look sweet and i think an all white tank setup will be awesome.
Im coming riding Sunday so will bring them if your there ok.

ok cool thanks I might be there,
I went and got that exhaust flange last night turns out he gave me the wrong one so hopefully my exhaust flange is still somewhere at ash's work

Finally got it all going it goes through all the gears alright but......Its running like s.hit!,Its smoking heaps Its burning gear I think and its idling heaps high even with the idle screw turn all the way out.does it sound like a crank seal or something has gone.I replaced all the top end gaskets again,checked everything else out but it all seems fine its just smoking heaps of blue smoke and idling heaps funny

I got rid of my 85 a few months ago and got a the 83 aircooler

Found out whats wrong with it now.The crank seals were crook

What ??? Are we talking small DG silencer ?? bought it off who ??
If its not a DG he may have purchased a new one.
He came and borrowed mine to ride on a weekend a few weeks ago, it wasnt a freebie its off my other 250r.
It was supposed to be back Friday.

Im having problem after problem the bastard is still burning oil the only thing I can put it down to now is bad piston rings and theres alot of piston slap and some bad marks & grooves down the bore of the cylinder.Anyone know who sells pistons for these in the newcastle area? I need a 72mm piston

But ask your self this "Kick arse drummer with a trike", if you had the choice between an 83 or 85 R............what would you choose?
