Special thanks to Husky, Viv and Stony for arranging the NT riders fuel and fuel stops. From what ive heard Husky and Viv forget the V8s you would probably both make a F1 team.

Thanks to Three Tors fuels stops...
Perhaps I should look at visiting more often eek

I was charging for something around the 3 hour mark and the 800 Outlander was loving it.
As soon as i saw the 170km marker go past I knew my mistake was done.
I missed my 2nd fuel stop Crying or Very sad

I sat with Stewy (one of the 3 Tors young blokes on a 250 2 wheeler) who also ran out of fuel minutes from the finish.
For 2 hours we watched the rest of the race whiz by which was kinda cool.

Then Husky and Viv came cruising down the track in their ute and gave us each a splash of fuel to ride through.
Thanks guys.

Just another Finke story, and whilst not ideal, this year I had quite a different experience and it was still very cool.
Congrats to those who made it, and
See yas all next year Smile

Now I finally know what everyone is constantly raving about - it was tough but I absolutely loved it.

The riders get lots of congrats but to be honest I couldn't have done it however without the support of the people around me, thanks to Dave (Noodles), Daryl R, Pottsy, Bek, Drea and the rest of the SA crew up there.

Massive thanks to Viv, Huskygoat and the Territory Quad Association, the fuel stops were awesome (only complaint was that they were too quick, I needed a longer break LOL) you guys really helped out when I needed it most - THANKS!!!!

Come on Smitty, your bragging now. Thanks for your thoughts on the guys that DNF'd, but that brings me to two quotes that are relevent.
"WINNERS ARE GRINNERS"
"TO FINISH FIRST, FIRST YOU MUST FINISH"

It's all part of the sport! The highs and the lows.

You know you will be there next year (on a quad), because we will.

you gunna drop down to the next Tri State and say Hello?
Talk soon.

Nice to finally meet you Huskygoat. We had a fantastic time in Alice. It's great to see how friendly everyone is along the track.
Thanks to the campers that looked after Matt Stone's bike and gear till we picked it up. Get well Matty so you can be there next year. Also a big thanks to the people that towed Chris in from Rodinga and also returned his neck brace, camel back and phone he left in their vehicle.
To those that haven't been to the Finke race as a comopetitor or spectator, then I recommend everyone get to see or do it.
I've been asking Chris if he would do it for a few years, but he wasn't interested. Now that he has done it, he loves it.

All the guys from Darwin , Eddy and Travis ( and your mum and Dad) and the Burdekin Boys , Ryan , Alf , Joe and Arthur . And a big thanks to all the guys and Gals we raced with .
