Gday all with the formation of our first quad club up here in the area we have got a speed way event coming up at the Carins international Speedway. 3rd october under lights!! then the next day Mareeba Motor Racing club has invited us to go run out there and put on a show and race as well!!! So if anyone is interested in speed way and in the area you need the following
Senior national licence
Nerf Bars
lanyard kill switch
Full riding gear
Back protector
AND NO METHANOL!!!!
Need to know rough numbers if people intersted asap!!!
The more that show up the more of an impact quads can make on the scene up here and hopefully get some other form of racing!!!

i dont think those are mandatory requirements for mareebas clubs? contact henery for new information.have a go its fun.

Gday again. those are mandatory requiremants for Cairns. Mareeba Motor Racing has just asked we pay there insurance nomination at this point. if it takes off and becomes a regular each rider will have to take out there own combined insurance.. but that is down the track!!! lets get some bikes on the track and go racing

Good to hear Speedway in Cairns. Here in S.A. we have been running for about 4 years. We have held individual sponsored events, total season series, and we now conduct our own Quad State Title (one night event). This year we are venturing into Quad Teams Speedway. You are on the right track with your listed safety requirements but if you are not sure, check your GCR's for clarification. Good luck with it all. Henry, those dates clash with the Central QLD Plate which includes 3 classes of quads and 3 different diciplines over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th Oct. Because of the clash you might have a reduced turnout.
I know i would be keen to have a run with you guys but ill be heading to Clermont instead.
Hopefully the next one doesn't clash with other events. |

Junior events.. well to be honest .. the few of us that have shown interest gone out bought licenses and etc.. we have never raced a quad before.. all two wheel riders that have been converted mate.. So if you can call MQ and get a licenes monday asap!!! come out race have a good time and c if we can kick this sport off up here!!!

Mate come out this sat night!!!! the more the merrier.. call motorcycling queensalnd see what they can do with a license for ya.. if not com eout watch.. we all first timers giving it a go
