I noticed that there seems to be a spamming problem.
I think instead of waiting to get your post or thread approved just pump out more moderators. Means more dedicated members and less stress due to constant post approvals.
Or add more questions onto the sign up page, such as "What are the big 5 motorcycle brands?" or something similar.
Would make everything a lot easier I would assume.
Thanks |

decent idea, doesn't usually take that long for approval anyway.
A main problem i've seen is thread control in the for sale section, people seem to have their say about how they feel about somebody else's sale, positively or negatively impacting upon the sale, and rarely is anything done about it. |

Elliot,
How with 3 posts you can assume there's a spamming problem I don't know... welcome to the forum BTW.
There had been a major spamming issue up until August when we moved to a new server and changed some extra settings.
The approval process you went through is still in place just for the first post by new members, just as a final fail safe on stopping spammers.
You should find your future posts are all automatically approved.

Jono,
The few times that it's reached the point where something needed to be done about it, the problem then turned even worse, and it's now to a point where we hope users moderate themselves, which you would be aware is not always the case.
If you feel there are topics that need moderating in there, send the thread to a moderator to look at.

Oh sorry, I have been reading through the forums a bit and noticed things about spamming etc and thought there could be an easier way.
Maybe users moderating their own threads? |
