i got this off me neighbor for 50 buck score. but thing thing is as that it has no engine.

he told me the crank bearings let go and did the bottom end good, so he through it out.

YZ490 motor bolts right in........or there is a parted out TRI-Z at a wreckers here in Newcastle,motor and all.

hey Aussie dunner, do u no if the engine is still running at that rekores, coz i am interested in buying a motor to put in there, but the thing is any motor that i buy will have to be shipped up to north west Queensland

Nice score, I've been after a Z for ages, and I',m insanley jealous.
If you ever want to part with it PM me and we can sort something out.

P.S. Banshee motor sounds cool but would be awkward power to ride, the Tri-z was always known for being a bit too light in the font end as it is, let alone with that type of power delivery. Don't mess the frame up too much with trying to wedge a shee donk in there either

83-85 yz motors basically bolts in

the foot pegs are a drama, the frames are rotting out in the foot peg area on a lot they rebuild in the states.

you may be up for refitting a fuel tank up top as the transfer pumps on the old Zs don't last for ever.

the fenders are getting a bit scarce now too.

Good luck with the project what ever you do. If you need any assistance I'm always on here. I'm nearly as sick a Aussie Duner.....
