Hey Guys
I am led to believe that this event has been postponed due to lack of numbers as we have to have huge numbers guaranteed for the ATV's to not to need to run the 2 wheelers.
Unfortuately we will need support from the two wheelers to run our events as our numbers are up and down all the time. We cannot organise an event and say yeah we will have definately have 30 - 40 riders at each meet.
If we can get our locals to each event it would be huge, we would not need 2 wheelers and we could get some real exciting racing happening, until then the organisers will not be able to organise a successful event and cover costs etc... _________________ ***** HST POWERSPORTS*****

hi guys
sorry its this late but i have only had word yesturday that we will have to postpone this event, due to lack of interest and numbers from the senior two wheelers and junior 2 wheelers.
at no stage is this due to any lack of support from the atv community or because we are ATV's, the decision was made purely by the HMCCC commitee and ATV delegates that it would be best to postpone this event and reschedule it for another date later in the year.
i am still working on getting some other events planned and i will keep you posted.
once again sorry about the late notice on the cancelation but this only came up late last week and we only just made the decision
whos up for a ride anyway as there are a few of us that will be that day??
any questions please give me a buzz _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |

Are some of you guys still going to Barliegh Ranch on Sunday for a ride still. I rang Todd at MX central and he said he didn't know of anyone going up.
I have never had a ride on a track before and was thinking of taking my son up too.
Interested to know if anyone's going, or should I just plan for the beach as I usually ride there on Sunday's. |

Mick, I am only new to this, and still have not had my first ride on any track yet. Was suppose to have my first go at lakes but ended up at the hospital till 8 oclock that morning (these things happen), but is there no support coming from the HMCCC for these quad events or is there something else happening, as there is mention of still going for a ride on the Sunday even tho the event was cancelled, but every one went to Singleton?
I went up to Barleigh Ranch just for a look anyway, and I have only been there a couple of times in the past for a look and the place was packed with two wheelers. Sorry but don't understand if there was no interest in support why was the placed packed with two wheelers and for the risk of sounding like a fool what will be the difference later in the year???
I am not trying to stir up anything at all, just don't understand what's going on and wondering why I spent money on membership to the club.

with HMCC its a funny situation,
this is how the club is structured as far as i am aware
HMCC lease there track to MX central, MX central has most weekends of the year to use as a business,
the club gets a few weekends a year to host club rounds of dirt track and
MX, maybe 8-10 or somewhere near that.
these club days have to then be turned into profitable days for the club as they have to pay MX central to rent the track back.
as for last weekend, HMCC had it as a designated club day but realised that there was not going to be enough riders attend because of other clubs like lakes have days as well, so instead of HMCC leaving the day with no money coming in, they gave the day back to MX central to run as a paid ride day. thats why you saw so many 2 wheelers and pro race teams there that day. this has nothing to do with the club not wanting us.
unfortunetly HMCC is the only club in NSW that will regualary let us race, under there structure with MX central this does make it hard for us and sometimes the club, but the club has regular income which is important.
we are trying to work around this and get things going with other clubs in the area, but with Newcastle such a 2 wheeled hot spot this very hard to break through,
hope this clears things up? _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |

Thanks for that, that makes a big difference when you get the full run down on why. Without the money coming in the track would disappear for all riders.
Thanks again and hope to meet up one day soon at a ride day.

i have heard back from Moree today and they are going to have us there for a round. they are just working with MNSW to finalise some of there open dates so then we can pick some dates that would suit.
still waiting to hear back from Quirindi, and i am about to ring lakes to see if there is a chance to do a round there practice or a 1 class race or atleast something.
there is a meeting tomorrow night at Wallsend Diggers club Wallsend at 7pm to start organiseing an interclub event for quads at Barleigh Ranch June 27th. if you can make it or want to help out this would be much appreciated.
unfortunetly i can't be there, but Glenn Pickering from the HMCC will be there _________________ 2012 sponsors, Working on it. |

Gee Mick after all these years, still facing the same old dramas on the east coast?
You have to move to WA mate! Seems to me that the WA quad racing scene is humming along. Not that I get to a track these days, but that is whole other story thats starts with Wife and ends with Kids....
P.S. You need to move west if you want to live in the land of ATVs, my company is looking for HR licensed people at the moment so there's the excuse... preference given to ATV riders of course.... _________________ State governments give us REC rego + area to ride ATVs legaly!
