If anyone has any queries about Joe Byrd's school or wishes to attend please contact me (Kay) by telephone (08)8988 3353 or 0418 813068. I am the only contact point for Joe's schools in Australia - I organise the schools privately - not through any clubs or other individuals.

yer unfortunatly lack of support has cause the cancelation of the school.. we only had 4 people wanting to come to the school, as much as we wanted this to happen we could not meet the $$ needed to hold the school Sad Sad ... we can only do wat we can do the rest was upto everyone else , it is unfortunat that the few that did want to go miss out now because of lack of interest.... if anyone is interested for next year please let us no and maybe we can try then.. these things aint cheep so up front money is the only way to do it...

Think I need to sort out a few issues here ....... Firstly, to 'the big dog', there is no 'big fight on for the school now' what are you talking about? For the last three years I have been solely responsible for co-ordinating Joe's visit to Darwin, I organise his trip and liaise with whatever other state wants to have him. Trudy Van Vliet worked with me last year to organise Joe's trip to Victoria. Queensland could not get enough riders together to make a school viable this year, Darwin can - so that is where the school will be held. It is a long way to Darwin for a school, that is why I offer the option for a state to hold their own school. Finally, to Todd 127 calling for refunds - the riders who are being offered a free school in Darwin is due to the generosity of Joe himself. All those riders in the Victorian school had two days with Joe last year, but the riding component of the school was limited due to bad weather - so they are being offered a freebie. They are more than welome to come to Darwin - so why a refund? The offer to the Victorian riders was that their free school would be wherever it would be held in 2010 - it should have been Darwin and Queensland, but Qld. didn't work. You guys really shouldn't sling around ignorant comments without knowing the full facts!

Ok , thanks for clearing that up........BUT.......Wouldnt it be easier sending 1 person back down or 10 or so people have to send their quads, themselves and all their gear to Darwin, just doesnt make a whole lot of sense. Its fine to say you have a free lesson but its gunna cost them sh.tloads to do it.

As far as I know 10 people are not taking up the offer of a free school, even if it is in Victoria. It was decided at the end of last years school in Vic that it wasn't logical to go back there as the weather is so unpredictable. That's why Qld. was settled upon as the venue back in September last year. Qld. hasn't worked out due to lack of numbers. These trips are organised right down to the last dollar, as you can imagine there's a lot of juggling/negotiating and it is not feasible to get him to Vic. - I did try to re-negotiate but it's just not viable. I have 15 riders for the Darwin school, so it's logical that is where the school will be. I appreciate that it costs a lot of money to come to Darwin - our riders here in the Northern Territory know this better than any other state as we have to travel huge distances to get to any interstate meetings. Joe is happy to hold a school in any state of Australia - I will organise it for you - all you have to do is get together enough riders.
