So just out of curiosity, who got their nomination in before it was cut off?
I woke up hung over early on saturday morning and thats the only reason mine was in.
Im doing the ironman,
who else is gunna run it?

Im im for the first time due to a few dropping out. Riding a stock 700r raptor. Hoping to do it in 8hrs all up. But just hope to finish. Any good tips on what to bring (apart from quad, fuel, etc ) up to indee with me to help prep. Thanks

I thought Raptors were well liked everywhere . There were certainly plenty of them and most made it through the event. There was an '10 model with all the bling racing too. I thought that the one in front with the 05 plate was the pick of the bunch though.

Our last lap rider DNF'd when his chain came off and smashed the engine casing. Anything under 2 hours and we would have finished as high as 6th. Not too bad for our first go.

Any tips on the fitness side of things ???
I have entered a 3hr enduro down here that the QRCV is holding and I have been in training for the last three weeks.
Even lashed out and bought +2+1 Lonestar A arms and Elkas for the Rappy. Plus I built a +1.5 steering stem with anti vibe mounts built into it.

The track looked so smooth and inviting on Friday afternoon
Team Goofy..well two of us anyway
Heath Young's big girl.
Quad class winner and 8th overall John Iuliano. This guys is seriously fast. The track was horrendous and I have no idea how he got through lap after lap at such speed.
There were a few of these in the pits waiting to be fitted with a third and fourth wheel.
The only female quad rider in the field Shantal Larman. She was awfully quick too.
I need a hug and a lie down after that..
Damn Japanese tourists are everywhere..
Paul Munroe (truant) heads our team out on the final day
Our final rider waiting for Paul to come in...the pit crew behind making sure everything is lubricated.
Paul arrives a little hot, rearranging the pit fence in the process
The end of the event for us with only 40 klm to go.
Awesome, well organised event with a great family friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back next year, trained up this time.

not a problem at least you only took out one, I hit three and had to reverse out. let's leave the scotch and port at home next year
