For any of you that have not done Finke before, we have a few sections of "One Crazy Jumbo" up in the video's section of Thumbpump.com. I know, Bullet is a dill and did it that year on a 90, but it does show you a little bit of what to expect as scrutineering etc.

Hope this helps.

The race is close and most (if not all) of the entrants are there......
Predictions.......
Who will win?
Will a quad crack Top20 outright?
Will bullet wear a peak on his helmet?
How many quads will PeteW fix?

Smitty will be a chance, but as the link above says the 700XX is now stock and he hasn't had much time on it. If it holds together he should do well as both Smitty and the XX like it rough........so i've heard.
Luke Beechey (Polaris) will be strong, so will Cam Wade (Suzuki), they are both capable of winning and have had a couple of years development so should be reliable.
Both Chad McKay and Jake VanVliet should do well on the Can-Ams if they have a clean run down and back. |

roycroft......totally forgot him........he has to be a chance in only his second try. He's fast, fit and has good people behind him.
Thats the thing about Finke, there are plenty of riders with a genuine shot. |

hey cheers jono. may have been a mistake on the finke website as they had roycroft as 4th. it doesnt really make any difference anyway. the people everyone expected to be up front are and theres still a bloody long way to go, ie. the race hasn't even started yet haha! should be an interesting couple of days racing though! fingers crossed for a Colac Motorcycles double. |

hell yeah it was dusty. really dry dust and apparently heaps of bulldust on the race track.
we had a good breeze which blew it pretty quickly but if you didn't get the holeshot you were screwed if you were fast.
its rather cold here and it didn't get above 15 degrees today, sunny though and a really dry wind.
good luck to all my fellow competiors tomorrow. hope i don't have to see to many of you, only the 3 in front of me.
