No, we did not run the same course as the cars, we had a section in one of their sections that started at 1 control and diverted into and out of the woods and back onto the gravel track they were racing on.

Because we did not do the entire rally course, we did not need permits for public road sections as we never went on them. We did the same loop 7 times. Was still an absolute blast! Pinned-in-top gravel roads to 1st and 2nd gear tree dodging..... Brilliant!

maggot the road sections we went on are public roads but they closed off the forrest for us and the rally cars.

we would have still needed a permit to do what we just did but , we got the ok from transport SA (i think)

did you have both quads and bikes
the guys who organised the WA event are the same people who organise the safari who you probably know ron rigby.
most of them wanted another event to use their nav gear.
them mentioned some thing about trying the same thing at a couple of the other arc events to promote the rallymoto side for the up coming year
